The system detects both moving and stationary object in a pre-defined coverage area and reports the distance of the closest object via visual range indicators and an audible signal to a vehicle operator. The system consists of three major components: an environmentally sealed sensor, an operator display mounted in the cab of the vehicle, and an optional external back up warning alarm. All connections to the vehicle are accomplished at the sensor. Power is obtained from the vehicle reverse lights and a relay contact is provided for operating a back up alarm. The pulsed RF transmitter operates at 5.8 GHz with the main lobe less than 150MHz wide. The pulse width is approximately 15ns and the pulse repetition frequency is 2.0MHz. This product currently consists of three different models, the WZPV4020 with a twenty foot detection zone, the WZPV4015 with a fifteen foot detection zone, and the WZPV4010 with a ten foot detection zone. All units are identical with the exception of software that resides in the sensor unit. Preco Electronics is seeking original FCC certification to Part 15.249 and will have FCC ID OXZWZPV2009.
