The test report covers complete testing on TSSRE3Ud and partly testing with TSSRE3Dg in conjunction with TeeLeFant and Testsoftware. For activating the EuT a “Trigger device, TeeLeFant” was used to power up the Wheel Unit Sensor in the different operation modes. The EuT has an incorporated antenna and is powered by a primary battery. Declaration of the manufacturer The EUT is a wireless tire pressure and temperature sensor for vehicles equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The EUT consists of four parts, the sensor and the tire valve, with C case Tantal and with flash memory. In use the device is permanently affixed inside the tire with the valve. There are two housing variants, one for metal valves (M), and another for rubber valves (R). The PCBA (Tx part) and the battery are always the same. No. 3.0, 2014-01-30 For testing the manufacturer declares following transmitting intervals: The TPMS sensor includes already all possible application cases in its program memory and is configured once by a professional installer. Upon manually activated LF request (through special configuration tool at a vehicle dealership), the EUT respond with a single RF transmission (sensor type information). In the second step the tool will send the configuration data on LF and the EUT will respond with a single confirmation transmission. Now the TPMS sensor is configured for the target vehicle application. When the EUT is mounted in the vehicle tire in the worst case, periodically RF transmission where the duration of each transmission is always less than 1 second and the silent period is at least 30 times the duration of the transmission, and never less than 10 seconds. Transmitter Field Strength levels measured in section 5.2.3 are all based on measurements of a CW signal with 100% duty cycle, to allow the measurement to be made.
