The Navian has 5 keys –up/down/ok/menu/esc(power). Previewing the main pages Speed Screen –Displays current speed, maximum speed and average speed. Trip Info Screen –Displays Trip time HH:MM:SS and trip distance. Compass Screen –Guides where to go for the destination. Upward direction is your heading direction. Track Map Screen –Displays where you are going and where you have been. Track logs and waypoints you have saved are displayed. 5 Navian Quick Guide User Manual 2. Compute your position Turn the Navian on by pressing the ESC/POWER button. Press DOWN button and select “NAVIGATION”icon. Select GPS INFO to view the Satellite Status screen. With a clear view of the sky, Navian can track satellites and compute your position. It takes about some minutes to determine your location for the first time. After the first position fix, “3D”character will appear in upper screen. If you want to get the coordinate of location, selelct“LOCATION”menu. 6 Navian Quick Guide User Manual 3. Saving your present position From LOCATION ,NAV INFO, TRACK MAP screen, press OK key for few seconds. You can change icon, name, coordination value by using MENU key. Using UP/DOWN key,you can scroll up and down the list. Press OK key to select proper string or symbol on the list. To Save it, press OK key when done and return to the previous screen. You have to use this function when the GPS is navigation status. You can find letters ‘2D’ or ‘3D’ on the upper icon view area. 4. Setting a GOTO waypoint Select WAYPOINTS to view the waypoints list you have saved. Using OK key, you can switch focus from tab to waypoints list. Select waypoint using UP/DOWN key, and press MENU key to Set Goal. Once GOTO waypoint has been defined, your Navian will guide you in a straight line to your destination on TRACK MAP screen. 7 Navian Quick Guide User Manual 5. Logging lap time From the top menu, select RUNNER icon. RUNNER is for inline skaters or joggers. At first, select distance interval to log lap time, and press OK key Then, current speed, maximum speed , running distance, time record are showed. And, whenever you pass a lap, you can hear the voice information that how long distance you have been running. 8 Navian Quick Guide User Manual 6. Changing user preferences Select OPTION on the top screen, you can see the following sub menus. •GPS : 1.GPS reset 2.Static On/Off 3.NMEA out On/Off 4.NMEA out baud rate 5.Track Log Interval - None,Auto,10m,30m,50m,100m,500m,1km •SCREEN : 1.Brightness 2,Back light –manual,15sec,30sec,1min •UNIT : 1.Coordination – Geodetic/Georef/TM/UTM/UPS/MGRS 2.Datum 3.Distance unit –metric,mile,nautical mile 4,Time format –12hr,24hr 5.Time Zone –Select city 6.Summer Time –On/Off •DEMO : simulation of Navian when you are indoor. •UPGRADE : Set Navian to upgrade mode •DEFAULT : Restore all options to default values. *Specifications subject to change without notice. 9 Navian Quick Guide User Manual FCC Compliance Statement This device complies with part 15 of the FCCRules.
