Wireless CF Card User Manual Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Compliance Notice: Radio Frequency Notice This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interfere nce received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Wireless CF Card 3 Driver Installation Install Driver Under Windows CE The CF card driver is installed with configuration utility automatically while the CF card is installed on your PDA. 1. With the CF card inserted into your PDA while your PDA is connected to your PC, insert the Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive. Execute the Setup.exe file of the CD-ROM drive. Wireless 802.11b CF Card 2.5 Driver for Windows CE 3.00 – InstallShield Wizard screen appears. Click the Next button to proceed. 2. The following screen will indicate that Windows is ready to continue the installation. Click the Next button. Wireless CF Card 4 3. Software License Agreement screen appears. Read the entire agreement by clicking the Page Down button on your keyboard. Click the Ye s button if you agree, or No if you disagree. Clicking No will terminate the installation. If you click Ye s , the installation will continue. 4. Click the Ye s button to use the default application install directory. 5. Check your PDA and then click the Ye s button. Wireless CF Card 5 6. Once the installation wizard is complete, click the Finish button. Wireless CF Card 6 Configuration Utility The Configuration Utility is provided to allow you further customization of the CF Card and your wireless network. LINK INFO The Link Info screen provides information about the current link between the CF Card and the wireless Access Point. The Current Channel field shows to what channel the CF Card is set. The Current Tx Rate field shows the transfer rate in megabits per second. The Throughput fields show the rate at which data is transferred and received in Bytes per second. The Link Quality and Signal Strength fields will be displayed by the strength of the block when applicable. CONFIGURATION The Configuration screen allows you to customize the setting for the CF Card and your wireless network. The Mode setting determines the architecture of your wireless network. Operational Description

FCC ID: PD5LMWCF210 ADT No.901009R03 Operational Description The transmitter of the EUT (WLAN Compact Flash Card) is powered by notebook and plugged in PCMCIA Slot. The antenna is Inverted F Antenna, and there is no antenna connector. Under normal use condition, the user has to keep at least 20cm separation distance between radiator and the body of the user. The other instruction, please have a look at the users manual. DSSS Information This device is Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, the data is mixed by pseudorandom code which is an orthogonal code. The mixed data is digital modulated by BPSK and QPSK technique depends on the data rates. The CCK coding is applied for increasing the data rate, and also the processing gain will be increased. The bit rates are 1,2,5.5,11Mbps, the symbol rates are 1,1,1.375,1.375Mbps, the chip rates are always 11Mbps. So, the Chip/symbol is 11,11,8 and 8 respectively. Although is higher bit rate, the processing gain is lower than 10, but the CCK coding used in higher bit rate will provide 2.2dB coding gain.

Introduction 2.4 GHz frequency band is regarded specially as a dangerous band for its heating harmfulness to the human body. That’s why microwave oven is operating in this frequency band. The manufacturer whose product is working in this frequency band is obligatory to prove the harmfulness of his product. In this document, we try to prove the safety of radiation harmfulness to the human body for our product. The limit for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) specified in FCC 1.1310 is followed. The Gain of the antenna used in this product is measured in a Fully Anechoic Chamber (FAC), and the maximum total power input to the antenna is measured. Through the Friis transmission formula and the maximum gain of the antenna, we can calculate the distance, away from the product, where the limit of MPE is reached. 2. Classification The antenna of the product, under normal use condition, is at least 20 cm away from the body of the user. Warning statement for keeping 20 cm separation distance and the prohibition of operating next to a person has been printed on the users manual. So, this product is classified as the Mobile Device. 3.
