Technical Description The Equipment Under Test (EUT), is a portable 2.4GHz Transceiver (Car Unit) for a RC Car. The sample supplied operated on 46 channels, normally at 2420 - 2465MHz. The channels are separated with 1MHz spacing. The EUT is powered by 3 x 3.2V Lithium-ion batteries. After switching on the EUT, the car will be moved forward or backward and turned left and right based on the switches pressed in the controller. Antenna Type: Internal, Integral antenna Antenna Gain: 0dBi Nominal rated field strength is 100.8dBμV/m at 3m (Peak), 89.2dBμV/m at 3m (Average) Maximum allowed production tolerance: +/- 3dB The brief circuit description is listed as follows: 1. U1 (ABE2402X1) acts as MCU 2. Y1 acts as 16MHz Oscillator 3. L1, C1 and C3 act as antenna matching circuit 4. U2 acts as voltage regulator 5. U3 (MD2686) and U4 (AM2837) act as motor driver 6. U5, U9, U10, U11 and U12 act as charging circuit.

Thus, it below calculated field strength according to minimum SAR exclusion threshold level as follows: The worst case of SAR Exclusion Threshold Level at 2.48GHz with distance 5mm: = 2.717mW According to the KDB 412172 D01: EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2*1000 / 30] Calculated Field Strength for 2.717mW is 99.6dBuV/m @3m Since maximum average field strength plus production tolerance < = 99.6dBuV/m @3m and antenna gain is > = 0.0dBi, it is concluded that maximum Conducted Power and Field Strength are well below the SAR Exclusion threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
