The PC will then ask you for a valid driver. 2 Driver The driver will be installed automatically by your Operating System, Windows 10 or Windows 11. 3 Software 1) Connect the Reader to the PC. 2) Use the COM port assigned to the reader in the next steps, for example COM1. 3) Start the Skript on the CMD line: python toolbox.py COM1 bridge →Adjust the COM port number to match that of the device. 4) Use the reader as usual with the Silion Demo Tool. The complete reader, including the antenna, is installed in a plastic handheld housing.. 2 IMPLEMENTATION A sandwich design was chosen for the structure, meaning that the antenna is located above the reader circuit board. Due to the available space, a circular antenna structure was chosen. Frequency adjustment is achieved via the distance between the ends of the circle: Figure 1: Antenna design The simulation and subsequent tests determined an ideal distance of 1 mm. To improve broadband performance, a component for adjusting the antenna quality was provided in addition to the feed.
