The device has an integrated antenna. The system concepts used are the GSM 850 and PCS 1900 standards including GPRS capability with 1 TX slot. The objective of the measurements done by IMST was the dosimetric assessment of one device in the GSM 850 and PCS 1900 standards with slider down and slider up. The examinations have been carried out with the dosimetric assessment system „DASY4“. The measurements were made according to the Supplement C to OET Bulletin 65 of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Guidelines [FCC 2001] for evaluating compliance of mobile and portable devices with FCC limits for human exposure (general population) to radiofrequency emissions. All measurements have been performed in accordance to the recommendations given by SPEAG (Fig. 25). The Siemens SL56 mobile phone (FCC ID: PWX-SL56) is in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Guidelines [FCC 2001] for uncontrolled exposure. The phone was tested in Head configuration without and with connected QuickPic Camera, in the Body Worn configuration with head set and direct contact to the phantom. prepared by: ........................................... reviewed by: .............................................. Power transmission and proper modulation. This paragraph contains average output power, peak output power, EIRP & ERP measurements for the EUT. In all cases, the peak output power is within the specified limits. Method of Measurements: The EUT was set up for the max. Output power with pseudo random data modulation. The power was measured with R&S Spectrum Analyzer ESIB 40 (peak) These measurements were done at 3 frequencies, 824.2 MHz, 836.6 MHz and 848.8 MHz (bottom, middle and top of operational frequency range) for GSM-850 1850.2 MHz, 1880.0 MHz and 1909.8 MHz (bottom, middle and top of operational frequency range) for PCS-1900 Test report no.: EMC_484FCC22-24_2003_SL56_rev2 Issue date: 2003-08-13 Page 8 (91) Conducted (GSM-850) Limits: Power Control Level Nominal Peak Output Power Tolerance (dB) 5 ≤33dBm (2W)* ± 2 *GSM Specification – ETSI EN 300 910 V8.5.0 (2000-07) Section 4.1 {GSM05.05 Version 8.5.0 Release 1999} Power Measurements: Conducted Average power measurements are provided by SIEMENS Please refer to document: “FCC_SL56_FCC_conducted_power” (Page 3, section 2.1, Siemens SL56, IMEI: 001002000156302) Frequency (MHz) Average Power during burst (dBm) 824.2 32.9 836.6 32.4 848.8 31.7 Conducted (PCS-1900) Limits: Power Control Level Nominal Peak Output Power Tolerance (dB) 0 ≤30dBm (1W)* ± 2 *GSM Specification …

Power listed is ERP for part 22 and EIRP for part 24. This filing is only applicable for GSM 850/1900 operations. SAR compliance for body-worn operating configurations is limited to the specific configuration tested for filing. Body-worn operations are restricted to belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that have no metallic. End-users must be provided with the appropriate information for satisfying RF exposure compliance. Highest report SAR values: Head = Part 22: 1.13 W/kg; Part 24: 0.41 W/kg Body = Part 22: 0.95 W/kg; Part 24: 1.11 W/kg
