The device has an integrated antenna and the system concepts used are the GSM 900, GSM 1800 and PCS 1900 standards including GPRS Class 8 capability. The objective of the measurements done by IMST was the dosimetric assessment of one device in the PCS 1900 standard. The examinations have been carried out with the dosimetric assessment system „DASY4“. The measurements were made according to the Supplement C to OET Bulletin 65 of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Guidelines [OET 65] for evaluating compliance of mobile and portable devices with FCC limits for human exposure (general population) to radiofrequency emissions. All measurements have been performed in accordance to the recommendations given by SPEAG. The Siemens A65 mobile phone (FCC ID: PWXA65) is in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Guidelines [OET 65] for uncontrolled exposure. The phone was tested in Head configuration without and with connected QuickPic Camera. In the Body Worn configuration with the following accessories and combinations: • GSM mode with headset and FCT 650 carry case (10 mm distance) • GSM mode with headset and FCL 600 carry case (13 mm distance) • GPRS mode (Class 8) with data cable and FCL 600 carry case (13 mm distance) prepared by: ........................................... reviewed by: ..................................... Power transmission and proper modulation. This paragraph contains Burst Average conducted output power and EIRP measurements for the EUT. In all cases, output power is within the specified limits. Method of Measurements: The EUT was set up for the max. Output power with pseudo random data modulation. The power was measured with R&S Spectrum Analyzer ESIB 40 (peak) These measurements were done at 3 frequencies, 1850.2 MHz, 1880.0 MHz and 1909.8 MHz (bottom, middle and top of operational frequency range) CETECOM Inc. Power listed is EIRP. This filing is only applicable for GSM 1900 operations. This mobile contains 900 MHz and 1800 MHz function that is not operational in U.S. Territories. SAR compliance for body-worn operating configurations is limited to the specific configuration tested for filing. Body-worn operations are restricted to accessories supplied by the manufacturer and designed for this product or to belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that have no metallic and a minimum distance of 10 mm to the body. End-users must be provided with the appropriate information for satisfying RF exposure compliance. Highest reported SAR values are: Head: 0.435 W/kg, Body: 0.480 W/kg
