02-09-10 GUG/NV 02:XXX GUG/NV Mats Hansson +46 46 193357 RF Power settings on Sony Ericsson Cellular Phones RF power tuning on early production samples are continuously being modified for best results in performance and production handling. Due to this differencies between different samples can occur depending on the actual production date. Samples selected for different compliance testing, such as SAR and FCC part 24 can have different nominel values on the maximum power settings, in spite of our effort to obtain latest possible tuning. Samples for SAR testing are always selected at the latest possible tuning setting in order to ensure correct evaluation of the samples. The hardware solution on the samples are however identical and measured SAR values are being scaled to the maximum peak power setting as defined for the production. Identification of Sony Ericsson Cellular Phones All Sony Ericsson products prior to obtained type approval are labelled as prototypes and specific hardware and software versions indicated electronically or by labels. Once regulatory approvals has been issued prototype marking is replaced by serial numbers and proper regulatory marking as required. Due to this precaution for avoiding non-conformity units circultating on the market, the Equipment Under Test (EUT) identity is often refered to as prototype.
