Introduction TheGS-301 Bluetooth GPS Receiver is a total solution GPS receiver with Bluetooth, UART interface and built-in rechargeable battery for high sensitivity to tracking signal. GS-301 design is based on Panasonic module with low power consumption. This positioning application meets strict needs such as car navigation, mapping, surveying, security, agriculture and so on. Only clear view of sky and certain power supply are necessary to the unit, GS-301 contacts to other device through Bluetooth device, and built-in recharge battery to save satellite information such as the status of satellite signal, the last location, date and time of last use. With low power consumption, the GS-301 tracks up to 12 satellites at a time, re-acquires satellite signals in 100 ms and updates position data every second, Trickle-Power allows the unit operates a fraction of the time and Push-to Fix permits user to have a quick position fix even though the receiver usually stays off. 2. Please provide external photos of the AC multi-power adaptor and resubmit the power line conducted emission test data when the AC multi-power adaptor is used. Ans. As manual page7 indicated, it's a DC jacket but it uses a USB cable to contact to PC or Notebook for charging but not a AC power adapter. Please refer to page 1 of external photos for the USB cable. Besides, we have performed AC Line conduction test to verify when the BT GPS connects to the host for charging as indicated in the test report. Question #2: The user manual mentioned internal antenna with 29dBi gain and external antenna(not specifying gain), never mentioned ceramic antenna with 4.0 dBi gain. The antenna specification and test report indicates a 4.0 dBi gain ceramic antenna was used. Please specify which antenna(s) will be used for GPS function, which antenna will be used for Bluetooth function. Please also indicate clearly on the internal photos to show antenna locations. For your information, GPS receiver is not subject to FCC certification. Ans. The internal antenna of 29dBi gain is for GPS itself not BT. BT spec. is indicated in the section 4.8 of page 5 of user manual. As for the antenna BT used, it uses a Ceramic Chip Antenna as indicated on the upper 2 photo of page 2 of internal photos with part no."4" on it. Question #3: Page 3 of the user manual mentioned GR-230, please explain what is the relationship between GR-230 and GS-301. Ans. Please refer to the revised user manual as attached. (See attached file: GS-301 UserMan revised 1115.pdf) Question #4: Section 7.7 checked Mobile device but stated: "SAR evaluation is not required for the PORTABLE device while its maximum output power is lower than the general population low threshold: 60/f(GHz)=60/2.441=24.58mW)". Please note the statement itself is correct, but this is not the case. Since this device is considered as mobile device, MPE calculation is required. Ans. Please refer to attached for the revised test report. (See attached file: GS-301 TestRpt revised 1112.pdf) Question #5: The same page of section 7.7 RF Exposure lists frequency range of "2402-2480GHz", please correct. You may need to revise "WLAN: 5.745GHz ~ 5825GHz" as well. Ans. Please refer to attached for the revised test report. Question #6: This is for your information. Bluetooth device can certified as "DTS -Digital Transmission System" if tested according to DTS requirements, or "DSS-Spread spectrum devices" if tested according to FHSS requirements.
