BW3965 pulsar tx unit BW3965 433Mhz wire-free technology Designed in the UK by Bowens International BWL-0530 12/10 www.bowens.co.uk Bowens® and the power behind the picture® are registered trademarks of Bowens International Ltd 433MHz Pulsar Transmitter Unit This simple dedicated radio transmitter will trigger all 433MHz Pulsar receiver cards and transceivers up to a distance of 30 meters. Simply plug the transmitter unit onto any ISO 518 standard camera hotshoe fitting and start shooting. BW3965 SAFETY NOTES: always...never... Replace the battery with the same type of rating. Use a Bowens authorised service centre for any servicing or repair. Use the Pulsar tx unit in an environment where it is likely to come into contact with moisture or flammable vapour. Open the casing or modify the operation. Symbol Key. Flash Test: Press to test flash the unit. Channel & Studio Select: Switch between the available channels and studios. Channel and Studio Indication. To select a CHANNEL use a single button press; this will initially show the channel that is selected by flashing the LED, then subsequent single button presses will scroll through the channel LEDs left to right from O-4 (All-4) scrolling continuously O-1-2-3-4-O-1-2-3-4, stop pressing the button once the desired channel is selected. This channel is then stored in memory until the user decides to change the channel again, the seleced channel LED will light each time the unit is triggered to confirm a signal has been sent. To select a STUDIO press and hold the select button for 2 seconds the display will bounce from the set channel side to side across all 6 LEDs and stop on the previously set studio, release the button and use single buton presses to select the desired studio. In studio set mode the LEDs will scroll from right to left on subsequent single button presses A-F scrolling continuously A-B-C-D-E-F-A-B- C-D-E-F, stop pressing the button once the desired studio is selected. After 5 seconds the LED display will bounce from the set studio LED side to side across all 6 LEDs stopping on the previously selected channle LED. The studio is now stored in memory until the user decides to change the studio setting again. As the studio setting is classed as an extended function the selected studio is only indicated by holding the select button for 2 seconds. FCC Statement. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
