The Maritime Broadband Radio is a smart antenna designed for use in maritime applications where digital high- speed reliable communication and data transfer is crucial for efficient and safe operation. The MBR 189 MK2 version has a phased array consisting of 60 antennas and can in real-time adjust the signal phase in order to increase gain in the direction of the receiver. FCC Exhibit – Product label - MBR 189 MK2 The marking plates are fixed with a self-adhesive tape on the aluminium parts of the product. The label is made from an industrial moulded material designed for unprotected outdoor use, corresponding to an ingress protection IP66. The marking plate has been tested with isopropyl alcohol and a mechanical test as specified in ExTAG/67/CD. The marking is highly durable. The label is located at the rear side of the product:

Test Report

MBR 189 MK2 Antenna details The MBR 189 MK2 antenna part consist of an integrated antenna array of helix antennas. The maximum antenna gain from the radio unit is stated to 24 dBi for 4725 to 4850 MHz. The beampattern is designed for a sector steerable antenna lobe within a 100x100 degrees sector. The antenna lobe is 9degrees (-3dB) both in elevation and Azimuth. The helix antenna array is made from a metal wire and integrated in the radio unit:
