FCCID: QQ2-GA900 Subject: Environmental evaluation and Exposure limit according to FCC CFR 47 §15.247(b)(5) and §1.1307, §1.1310 Limit for power density for general population /uncontrolled exposure is 0.604 mW/cm² (for 902MHz). The Power density: P (mW/cm²)= P T /4π R² where P T is the maximal transmitted power, which is equal to the transmitter output power 29.88 dBm plus the maximum antenna gain 14 dBi, the maximum equivalent isotropically radiated power EIRP is: P T = 29.88 dBm + 14dBi = 43.88 dBm = 24.434 W Hence, according to 15.247(b)(4) the maximum transmitted power should be reduced by: Power Correction factor = (maximum antenna gain dBi - 6 dBi ) dB In our case the transmitted power was reduced by: Power Correction factor = 14 dBi - 6 dBi = 8 dB P T1 = P T - Power Correction factor = 29.88 dBm - 8 dB = 21.88 dBm Corrected P T = 21.88 dBm + 14dBi = 35.88 dBm = 3.873 W The minimum safe distance “R” where RF exposure does not exceed FCC permitted limit is 17.5 cm. R=sqrt (P T / 0.604 mW/cm² *4π)= sqrt (3,873/7.58)= 22.6 cm

General Model Number(s): GigAccess 900 Brief Description (Purpose of Device): GigAccess TM 900 is WaveIP’s wireless point-to-point and point-to-multipoint broadband communication system. The basic subsystem is composed of a single sector, which consists of an AU (Access Unit) and up to 64 SUs (Subscriber Units). Each sector is a stand-alone communication network operating on a star topology with a gateway to the WAN, which allows two-way communication between the SUs and the WAN via the AU. A Sector may be divided into sub sectors, which are consecutive to the SUs within the sector. GigAccess TM 900 system allows operators that provide IP services using GigAccess TM (at 2.4 GHz band) to extend the reach of their system and provide services to clusters of customers that cannot otherwise be reached due to being obstructed by heavy foliage or other obstacles existing in rural areas.
