Wall Clock Door Chime Kit Model No.: CD-101 No wiring is required for this Wire Free Door Chime Kit. When the Push Button is pressed, it sends a wireless signal to the door chime that activates the chime. Since the operating range is up to 30metre (100 ft approx. – in open field), you can mount or take the door chime virtually anywhere in the home, workshop, office or garden. However, the transmission range of the wire free signal will be reduced if the signal is transmitted through a number of walls or ceilings. Metal and UPVC doorframes will also reduce the operating range. Battery Installation Push button unit 1. Push button unit is operated by 1 x 3volt Lithium batteries (CR2032 - included) 2. The Lithium batteries (CR2032) have been installed, it is ready to use. Replace the batteries. - Remove the name plate holder, then remove the back of case by pushing in the tab on the bottom with a small, flat screwdriver. - Remove the locking screw from the battery fastener of the battery compartment. - Insert 1 x 3volt Lithium batteries (CR2032 - included) in the battery compartment, ensuring the battery polarity match the internal markings, then tighten the screw on the battery fastener to hold the batteries firm in it’s compartment. - Snap the front cover of push button back on, then it is ready to use. Wall Clock with built-in Door Chime unit This unit consist of two parts, a) Wall Clock & b) Door Chime. Clock: a) The battery compartment is located at the centre of the unit. b) Insert 1 x 1.5volt battery (“AA”, UM3 & LR6 – not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring the battery polarity match the internal markets, then it is ready to use. Door Chime: a) Remove the battery cover from the back/bottom of the unit. b) Insert 2 x 1.5volt alkaline batteries (“AA”, UM3 & LR6 – not include) into the battery compartment, ensuring the battery polarity match the internal markings. c) It will beep twice to indicate that it is ready to use and learn the operation code (Please see Digital Code Set Up). d) Close the battery door, then the chime unit is ready to use. Installation Guide a) Push Button Unit: Using the two holes of the back of push button as a template, mark the fixing position for the unit. Drill hole and fit wall plug and secure the Push Button Unit with screws (self-tapping 3 x 16mm screw) in position, or by the double-sided self-adhesive pad (included), onto your front door or the position nearby. Important: Mounting the Push Button unit on the UPVC doorframes or metal surface will reduce the broadcasting range seriously. b) Wall Clock with built-in Door Chime: Drill hole and fit wall plug (if fixing to masonry) and screw (self-tapping 3 x 16mm screw) to fixing position. Leave a gap of 3mm between the screw head and the wall. Locate the keyhole slot on the back of the unit over the screw. Melody Selection The melody selector is located inside the Push Button unit, a small switch on the top left corner of battery compartment marked with “S”. Press the switch once, the melody will change to play the next one on the list, there are total 8 melodies for selection. The Push Button is pre-set to “Westminster” therefore, if no change is required, it should not be adjusted. 1. Westminster Chime – 8 notes 4. Circus Theme 7. It’s a small world 2. Ding-Dong Repeat 5. Banjo on my knee 8. Dog Barking 3. Telephone Ring 6. Twinkle - Twinkle Optional: You can purchase a further Push Button for installation at the back door, and adjust the melody selector, so that push button at the front door will have a “Westminster” tone, and Push Button at the back door will have another melody for identification. Digital Code Set Up The unit comes from the factory on a pre-set radio frequency digital code. However, should your door chime activate intermittently for no reason at all, it is possible that a similar unit is operating nearby on the same frequency digital code. The encoded frequency of the Push Button (transmitter) can be changed to avoid this problem. The Wall Clock Door Chime unit is equipped with advanced self-learning operation code ability therefore no setting is needed. 1. Remove the back of case of Bell Push unit. 2. There is 4 black links in a row, in position 1, 2, 3 & 4. It can be altered to achieve total sixteen (16) possible digital codes. 3. To set the code by add and remove one or more the black link(s), then press the Bell Push, the Wall Clock Door Chime unit will sound to indicate that operation code is registered and memorized, and will only work with it. 4. To re-set the operation code, simply remove the batteries from the Wall Clock Door Chime unit and rest for 30 seconds, it will erase the memory. Re-insert the batteries into the Wall Clock Door Chime unit, it will give 2-beeps sound to indicate that it is ready for the new operation code registration. Push the Bell Push to confirm the new code is working. 5. Test to ensure correct operation before final installation. Door Chime Operation Press the button on the Push Button unit once, it sends a wire free signal to the Wall Clock Door Chime, the Chime unit will sound. The sound will stop as soon as the melody ends. For repeat sound, press the button again. Hold the button in will NOT repeat the sound. Sound Volume Adjustment Tone sound volume control can be adjusted to high or low. The high-low switch is located at the back of the Wall Clock-Door Chime unit. Clock Adjustment Adjustment switch is located at the back of clock unit, rotate it to clockwise or anti-clockwise to get the correct time. Important 1. Do not mount the Push Button onto any metal surfaces or UPVC doorframe, as this will reduce the operation range seriously. 2. Do not expose either unit directly to rain or immerse in water. 3. Do not mount either unit close to fireplace or expose to high temperature. 4. Do not drop either unit or subject to excessive blows. 5. Do not use different type if batteries, or mix up old and new batteries. 6. Always use alkaline b…
