Wire Free Portable Door Chime Kit with Indoor Time Station Model: SC-352 No wiring is required for this Wire Free Door Chime Kit. When the Push Button is pressed, it sends a wire free signal to the door chime unit that activates the chime. As the operation range is upto 30metres (100ft. approx. โ€“ in open field), you can mount or take the door chime virtually anywhere in the home. However, the transmission range of the wire free signal will be reduced if the signal is transmitted through a number of walls or ceiling. Metal and UPVC doorframes will also reduce the operating range. Battery Installation Push button unit 1. Push button unit is operated by 1 x 3volt CR2032 Lithium batteries (included) 2. 1 x 3volt CR2032 Lithium batteries (included) have been installed, it is ready to use. Replace the batteries: Remove the locking screw from the battery fastener of the battery compartment. Insert 1 x 3volt CR2032 Lithium batteries in the battery compartment, ensuring the battery polarity match the internal markings, then tighten the screw on the battery fastener to hold the batteries firm in itโ€™s compartment. Portable Door Chime unit 1. Open the battery cover from the back of the unit. 2. Insert 2 x 1.5volt alkaline batteries (โ€œAAโ€, UM3 & LR6 โ€“ not include) into the battery compartment, ensuring the battery polarity match the internal markings. 3. It will beep twice to indicate that it is ready to use and learn the operation code (Please see Digital Code Set Up). 4. Close the battery door, then the chime unit is ready to use. Installation Guide a) Push Button Unit: Using the two holes of the back of push button as a template, mark the fixing position for the unit. Drill holes and fit wall plugs and secure the Bell Push Unit with screws (self-tapping 3 x 16mm screw) in position, or by the double-sided self-adhesive pad (included), onto your front door or the position nearby. Important: Mounting the Push Button unit on the UPVC doorframes or metal surface will reduce the broadcasting range seriously. b) Door Chime Unit: It has a slotted hang hole on the rear behind the belt clip, this will enable the Chime unit to be hooked onto a screw and easily removed or relocated to another room. Drill hole and fit wall plug (if fixing to masonry) and screw (self-tapping 3 x 16mm screw) to fixing position. Leave a gap of 3mm between the screw head and the wall. Locate the keyhole slot on the back of the unit over the screw. The Chime unit can also be free standing and you can place it on any desk in the house. Melody Selection The Melody Selector is located inside the push button unit. It is a small button on the top left corner of battery compartment marked with โ€œSโ€. Press the switch once, the melody will change to the next one on the list, there are total 8 melodies for selection. The Push Button is pre-set to โ€œWestminsterโ€ therefore, if no change is required, it should not be adjusted. 1) Westminster โ€“ 8 notes 4) Circus Theme 7) Itโ€™s a small world 2) Ding-Dong โ€“ Repeat 5) Banjo on my knee 8) Dog Barking 3) Telephone Ring 6) Twinkle, Twinkle Optional: You can purchase a further Push Button for installation at the back door, and adjust the melody selector, so that push button at the front door will have a โ€œWestminsterโ€ tone, and Push Button at the back door will have another melody for identification. Digital Code Set Up The unit comes from the factory on a pre-set radio frequency digital code. However, should your door chime activate intermittently for no reason at all, it is possible that a similar unit is operating nearby on the same frequency digital code. The encoded frequency of the Push Button (transmitter) can be changed to avoid this problem. The Door Chime unit is equipped with advanced self-learning operation code ability therefore no setting is needed. 1. Remove the back of case of Bell Push unit. 2. There is 4 black links in a row, in position 1, 2, 3 & 4. It can be altered to achieve total sixteen (16) possible digital codes. 3. To set the code by add and remove one or more the black link(s), then press the Bell Push, the Door Chime unit will sound to indicate that operation code is registered and memorized, and it will only work with it. 4. To re-set the operation code, simply remove the batteries from the Door Chime unit and rest for 30 seconds, it will erase the memory. Re-insert the batteries into the Door Chime unit, it will give 2-beeps sound to indicate that it is ready for the new operation code registration. Push the Bell Push to confirm the new code is working. 5. Test to ensure correct operation before final installation. Door Chime Operation Press the button on the Push Button unit once, it sends a wireless signal to the Door Chime, Door Chime unit will sound. The sound will stop as soon as the melody ends. For repeat sound, press the button again. Hold the button in will NOT repeat the sound. Sound Volume Adjustment Tone sound volume control can be adjusted to high or low, the high-low switch is located in the battery compartment of Door Chime unit. Time Station Battery Installation 1.
