BACK COVERFRONT COVER Información de Garantía Lively Limited Warranty 1 Lively warrants to the original purchaser that its sensor and hub hardware (excluding batteries, the “Equipment”) will be free of any defect in material and workmanship according to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty (“Limited Warranty”). For purposes of this Limited Warranty, the original purchaser is deemed to be the original end user of the Equipment purchased. This Limited Warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is NONTRANSFERABLE and UNASSIGNABLE. For How Long: This Limited Warranty covers the Equipment for twelve (12) months from the date of the original shipment to the original purchaser for Equipment. Batteries are not covered by this Limited Warranty. The terms of the Limited Warranty in effect as of the date of original purchase will apply to any warranty claims. How to Initiate Warranty Service: To obtain warranty service for your Equipment, call toll free (888) 757-0711 or email [email protected]. We will try to resolve your issue over phone and/or email and determine warranty coverage. If necessary, and at our sole discretion, we will arrange for service or a replacement of some or all of the Equipment. What We Will Do: Lively at its sole discretion will repair or replace the Equipment, provided the warranty applies and the warranty period has not expired. The repaired or replaced Equipment will be warranted subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty for either (a) 90 days or ( b) the remainder of the original warranty period, whichever is longer. But we wanted your safety watch to be useful— and fun—for all aspects of your active lifestyle. We started with a fashionable watch that you can customize and accessorize to fit your personality. With smart medication reminders, the safety watch notifies you only when you might have missed taking medication or vitamins. And the watch includes a pedometer for simple step-counting to help you measure how active you are being throughout the day. Enjoy and stay Lively. 2 Lively Safety Watch 3 • Help button Press to receive a call from the Lively Care Team to the phone number you designate. • Water proof You can use the Lively safety watch in the bath and shower. • Day & night display A large, crisp display with back lighting for easy viewing. Tip: Tap the edge of the watch face to light up the display. • Interchangeable bands Your Lively safety watch comes with an easy-to-use, comfortable band, which can also be replaced with any standard watch band (20mm width). User Guide Tip: After a new battery has been installed, the safety watch will re-activate once it is within range of the Lively hub. 4 Installing the battery • Remove the Lively safety watch and battery from its packaging. • Insert the coin battery (standard Li-Ion battery, CR-2032) into the watch. • Using a coin, twist the back cover firmly to close it. This is important to ensure waterproofing. Lively Safety Watch 5 Activating the watch • Make sure the safety watch is near the Lively hub for activation. • Make sure you have completed the online Lively activation process up to the “Activate system” step. • Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the watch. During this process, you will perform a test of the help button and receive a phone call from the Lively Care Team. If you do not currently have online access via a computer or tablet, please call the Lively Care Team at 888-757-0711. • After you have completed activation and successfully received a test phone call, your watch will be ready for use! User Guide Note: The Lively safety watch will not function until you complete the activation process. Tip: At a minimum, we recommend testing your help button when you replace the battery. Just press the button to test the response of Lively’s Care Team. Once you receive a confirmation phone call in response, let Lively know you’re ok and there’s no need for assistance. 6 Pushing the help button Lively Safety Watch • Your safety watch must be connected to the Lively hub or paired on-the-go with your smartphone for emergency response use. See page 12 to pair with a smartphone. • If you need assistance, press the help button. • The Lively Care Team will call you at the phone number you provided during the initial setup of Lively. You can update this phone number by visiting app.mylively.com from a computer or tablet. Tip: The watch’s range of use in the home or the yard is up to 1,500 ft., when unobstructed. Important: Lively is not a substitute for 9-1-1. In the event of a critical emergency, always contact 9-1-1 immediately. By subscribing to the Lively service, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the Lively Terms and Conditions. 7 User Guide • The watch will display the following while the phone call is being placed to you. >> • If you do not answer the telephone, or if you request emergency services while talking to a Lively Care Team member, emergency services will be dispatched. Note: Emergency services will be dispatched to the address you provided during the initial setup of Lively. To update your home address, visit app.mylively.com • The watch will display the following while help is on the way. >> 8 Receiving medication reminders • With Lively’s safety watch and pillbox activity sensors, you will be reminded automatically whenever you’ve missed taking your medication. • Set up medication notifications during the activation process, or go to app.mylively.com and choose Settings > Set Notifications. Simply choose when you want to take medication, and start receiving notifications. • If the pillbox sensors do not detect movement during the window of time when the medicine should be taken, our Lively system automatically sends a helpful reminder to the watch. >> Lively Safety Watch • The medication reminder will repeat once after fifteen minutes, unless the pillbox sensor has registered movement, indicating the medication has been taken. • If medication does not register as taken by the end of the allotted time, notifications will be sent to the Circle members who have been set up to receive them. This product is a wrist worn portable transmitter using Bluetooth LE Technology, operating between 2402MHz and 2480MHz. It is designed to be worn by the user with a separation distance ≤ 5mm and therefore SAR must be considered. The EUT was tested under FCC Part 15.247 as a DTS device. The device has 2 modes of operation a normal 6.82dBm (conducted) data mode and a distress 16.6dBm (conducted) mode. The antenna gain is stated as 3.93dBi. Documentation of the measurement technique used and test data measured can be found in Washington Laboratory Report 13665-01. Refering to the FCC Documument, 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v05r02, Mobile and Portable Devices RF Exposure Procedures and Equipment Authorization Policies, section 4.3.1 allows for the exclusion of SAR Testing if the device meets the following requirements: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] · [√f (GHz) ] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR Where:  f (GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz  Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation  The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison  When the minimum test separation distance is < 5 mm, a distance of 5 mm is used For this device extremity SAR exclusion is being evaluated. The conducted power is 6.82dBm (4.8mW) plus an antenna gain of 3.93dBi for an EIRP of 12mW. Using the SAR exclusion calculation: (12mW ÷ 5) * √2.402 ) = 3.72 ≤ 7.5 (12mW ÷ 5) * √2.440 ) = 3.75 ≤ 7.5 (12mW÷ 5) * √2.480 ) = 3.78 ≤ 7.5 The Extremity SAR exclusion applies to the Normal Operation Mode of this device. 1.2 Emergency Mode Description of Emergency Mode Operation: If the wearer has an emergency and depresses the alarm button it transmits at a maximum transmit power of 16.60 dBm. The alarm is transmitted for 7 minute period, sending 1 transmission sequence every 2 seconds. The alarm transmission sequence is a 0.480 msec (480 μsec) transmission, which is sent once on each of the systems three frequency channels. The three 0.480msec transmissions are spaced 1.2 msec apart (measured not between but from the start to start). The 2 second interval is measured from the start of one transmission sequence to the start of the next transmission sequence. Hence, in each 2 second period during the 7 minute alarm period the transmitter is active 3 * 0.48 msec = 1.44 msec. For Emergency Operation (16.6dBm) mode calculation is based on using a duty factor as per section 6.3. “Low transmission duty factor devices” of FCC Documument, 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v05r02 . The conducted power is 16.6dBm (45.7mW) plus an antenna gain of 3.93dBi for an EIRP of 113mW. The on time is 1.44ms per 2 seconds for a worse case duty factor of 0.072%. This duty cycle give a corrected power of 0.08mw. Using the SAR exclusion calculation: (0.08mW ÷ 5) * √2.402 ) = 0.03 ≤ 7.5 (0.08mW ÷ 5) * √2.440 ) = 0.03 ≤ 7.5 (0.08mW÷ 5) * √2.480 ) = 0.03 ≤ 7.5 The Extremity SAR exclusion applies to the Normal Operation Mode of this device.
