SGS Testing Korea Co., Ltd. 18-34, Sanbon-dong, Gunpo-city, Gyeonggi-do, 435-040, Korea wwwsgstestingcokrwwwsgscokr To: Steven Dayhoff ([email protected]) Date: 8/25/2004 /FCC Equipment Authorization Branch From: James Kwon ( [email protected]) /Lab manager of R&TTE Div CC: Klaus Knoerig ( [email protected]) Jong-woon Kim/E-TECH ( [email protected]) Applicant : E-TECH Co., Ltd. FCC ID : R72IP100 Correspondence Reference Number : 27442 731 Confirmation Number : EA878636 Subject : Reply for Info Request dated 8/23/2004 Q1) SAR system verification page 17 or 22 states 150MHz liquid - please describe how dipole SAR target value is obtained for Schwarzbeck dipole with this liquid. A1) As you know, for all frequency range in the 30~300 MHz, the system verification shall be made at 300 MHz using a 300 MHz dipole antenna and the 300 MHz tissue equivalent liquid. (We got this proposal information for 30~300 MHz testing from Mr. Meier Matthias ( [email protected]) by e-mail on 6/8/2004 and 6/9/2004)) The using frequency of IP100 is 136-174 MHz, so we made the liquid (30~300MHz) for 150 MHz test and named it as β150 MHz Head Simulated Liquidβ. Then we did verification test with 300 MHz Schwarzbeck dipole antenna and the liquid (30~300 MHz) on point of 300 MHz. (Deviation is less than 10%) (That is, the name of β150 MHz Headβ on page 17 and 22 is just the βname of liquid we madeβ.) And SPEAG does not offer the dipole antenna under 450 MHz. We surveyed many SAR test report from FCC web site, and we found that most of them used standard dipole antenna. (One example : FCC ID: ONKATP-100, pager 5 of 6 of SAR test report, manufacturer: Airtech, tested by ETS Dr. Genz GmbH) SGS Testing Korea Co., Ltd. 18-34, Sanbon-dong, Gunpo-city, Gyeonggi-do, 435-040, Korea wwwsgstestingcokrwwwsgscokr Therefore we used the standard dipole antenna that we had. (Schwarzbeck / Model:UHAP-10dB). Q2) Please submit photo of SAR sys. verification dipole setup. A2) Please refer to attached two set-up photos. If you have further questions feel free to contact me.
