Helen Zhao Subject: FW: Intec Inc., FCC ID: RDDINTECYRR, Assessment NO.: AN04T4371, Notice#2 1/11/2005 From: CCS(KS) - Eric Wong [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 10, 2005 10:46 PM To: Helen Zhao Cc: 'CCS(KS) - Eric Wong' Subject: RE: Intec Inc., FCC ID: RDDINTECYRR, Assessment NO.: AN04T4371, Notice#2 Dear Helen, Please find the following reply in BROWN. Thank you!! BR, Eric Wong From: Helen Zhao [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, January 11, 2005 6:40 AM To: CCS(KS) - Eric Wong Subject: RE: Intec Inc., FCC ID: RDDINTECYRR, Assessment NO.: AN04T4371, Notice#2 Dear Eric, 1) Please note your revised frequency range of the controller from 2402-2480 MHz to 2402-2482 MHz. Since this device is working with controller, so please revise the frequency range of "Receiver" as well. (Eric: Okay, the correction is made upon your comment.) 2) Please the device is a transceiver, not a receiver, as it will transmit a signal to the controller enabling vibration. Your report (page 14-19) shows the operation mode is "Receiver". How about TX mode? Why did you test that mode?. Please explain. (Eric: As you may still remember, at the beginning the CONTROLLER (gamepad) and RECEIVER (console part - connected with the PS2) are filed single FCC ID and share the same product name. And then we have been noticed that since the receiver is a transceiver that contains the transmitter characteristic so it have to apply certification, then I have divided the submittals into 2 separate submissions under it own FCC ID (one named CONTROLLER and one named RECEIVER), for identifying among them. The test mode shown in the repot just implies the data of the CONTROLLER or RECEIVER (console part) and it just for the ease on identification where the data come from.) 3) The Test setup photo is too dim, the support equipments shown on setup photos do not agree with the one listed on the report. Please make necessary correction. (Eric: I have boosted the contrast and save as another exhibit, please find that in the attachment.) Thank you, Helen From: Helen Zhao [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, January 08, 2005 4:11 AM To: CCS(KS) - Eric Wong Subject: Intec Inc., FCC ID: RDDINTECYRR, Assessment NO.: AN04T4371, Notice#2 Dear Eric, Please address the following issues: Question #5: As you mentioned in your answer to Q1, the device is a transceiver, as it will transmit a signal to the controller enabling vibration. But the test report does not even show the fundamental frequency test result. You are testing a transceiver, not a recevier. Also as a 2.4GHz device, you need to test harmonic and spurious above 1GHz, if you check the report again, you will find all the frequency listed on the table for "above 1GHz" are still under 1GHz. Please explain. Question #6: Please include both radiated emission test setup photos and power line conducted emission test setup photos into the Test Setup Photos Exhibit. Thank you, Helen -----Original Message----- From: CCS(KS) - Eric Wong [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, January 07, 2005 2:50 AM To: Helen Zhao Cc: 'CCS(KS) - Eric Wong' Subject: RE: Intec Inc., FCC ID: RDDDCM-G251-R, Assessment NO.: AN04T4371, Notice#1 Dear Helen, We have discuss with our client, as what’s the situation with the Controller, they’d also decided that the FCC ID belongs to the Receiver will be changed as RDDINTECYRR. Attached are the documents will be effected while such changes take place, and modification have been applied, they are: 1. Test report 2. Label 3. Confidentiality request Please kindly replace the documents with your database. On the other hand, following please find my replies in BROWN Thank you and have a nice weekend!! BR, Eric Wong -----Original Message----- From: Helen Zhao [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2004 10:58 PM To: Eric Wong (E-mail) Subject: FW: Intec Inc., FCC ID: RDDDCM-G251-R, Assessment NO.: AN04T4371, Notice#1 Hello Eric, Below address the following questions: Question #1: Please confirm whether the receiver (connected to PS2 port) has the capability to transmit the signal. Please explain what kind of signal this device will transmit to the controller. This is just for your information: Though the RF chip has transceiver function, since the controller and receiver share the same RF chip, it is possible that the controller has TX function only and the receiver has RX function only. Please confirm. Please note if the receiver is a RX only, this application is not necessary as receiver operating above 960MHz is not subject to certification. (Eric: We have full checked and confirmed that the Receiver is also bearing the Tx function, for the signal enabling the vibration of the Controller. Please refer to our test report for the evaluation towards the transmitter characteristic of the Receiver) Please answer below questions only when you confirm the receiver is a transceiver: 1/11/2005 Question #2: Please submit a test report for the receiver. (Eric: The test report is attached) Question #3: Please submit a new schematic and the one in the filing is for the controller. (Eric: The revised schematics is attached) Question #4: Please remove controller portion from the block diagram (Eric: The revised block diagram is attached) Thank you, Helen Zhao Compliance Certification Services 561F Monterey Rd. Attached zipped file contains the submittals toward the “controller” with its own FCC ID: RDDDCM-G251. The "receiver" is under FCC ID: RDDDCM-G251-R Please kindly discard the one uploaded before and r…
