TUV SUD BABT TCB Octagon House, Segensworth Road, Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 5RL Date: 06/16/2015 REF: RF exposure analysis Model: LE70-915 FCC ID: RI7LE70FH IC: 5131A-LE70FH The device is designed as module to be installed in and used in a mixed mobile and portable exposure h ost platform. Portable exposure conditions are eval uated in a separate exhibit. The analysis provided in thi s document only covers mobile exposure conditions a nd for that the antenna(s) used for this transmitte r must be installed to provide a separation distance of at le ast 20 cm from all the persons and must not be co-l ocated or operating in conjunction with any other a ntenna or transmitter except in the conditions described in t his document. MPE exposure limits The table below is excerpted from Table 1B of 47 CF R 1.1310 titled Limits for Maximum Permissible Expo sure (MPE), Limits for General Population/Uncontrol led Exposure: Frequency Range (MHz) Power density (mW/cm 2 ) Averaging time (minutes) 300 – 1500 f (MHz) /1500 30 The table below is excerpted from RSS-102, Issue 4, 4.2, titled “RF Limits for Devices used by the Gen eral Public”: Frequency Range (MHz) Power density (W/m 2 ) Averaging time (minutes) 300-6000 0.02619 ƒ 0.6834 6 As all the operating frequencies of this device are higher than 1500 MHz, the applicable maximum permi ssive exposure is: 1 mW/cm 2 . Using the equation 2 4 R PG S π = to calculate the exposure to electromagnetic field s where: S = power density (in appropriate units, e. g. mW/cm 2 ) P = power input to the antenna (in appropriate uni ts, e.g., mW) G = power gain of the antenna in the direction of interest relative to an isotropic radiator R = distance to the center of radiation of the ant enna (appropriate units, e.g., cm) Compliance with FCC and IC maximum permissive expos ure limits is demonstrated based on the following c alculations. 1. Standalone operations analysis 902-928 MHz DSS 915,3 - 927,6 915,3 27,11 1,90 20 0,158 0,610 0,277 COMPLIANT 0,5723506 902-928 MHz DTS 908,88-908,88 908,88 12,65 1,90 20 0,006 0,606 0,275 COMPLIANT 0,0205945 Frequency Band Mode Frequency Range (MHz) Reference frequency (Lowest freq.) Co-location analysis 2.1. Co-location with other transmitter in mobile e xposure conditions According to KDB 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Gui dance v05r2, 7.2: Simultaneous transmission MPE test exclusion applie s when the sum of the MPE ratios for all simultaneo us transmitting antennas incorporated in a host device, based on calculated or measured field stren gths or power density, is ≤ 1.0. As the maximum calculated MPE ratio for the device is 0,030 , the product can be co-located with other antennas providing that the sum of the MPE ratios for all the other simultaneous transmitting antennas incorp orated in a host device, based on calculated or mea sured field strengths or power density is ≤ 1.0 – 0,5723506 = 0,4276494 . 2.2. Co-location with other transmitter in mixed mo bile and portable host platform exposure conditions According to KDB 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Gui dance v05r2, 7.2: When one of the following test exclusion conditions is satisfied for all combinations of simultaneous transmission configurations, further equipment appr oval is not required to incorporate transmitter modules in host devices that operate in the mixed mobile and p ortable host platform exposure conditions. The gran tee is responsible for documenting this according to Cl ass I permissive change requirements. Antennas that qualify for standalone SAR test exclusion must app ly the estimated standalone SAR to determine simultane ous transmission test exclusion. • The [ ∑ of (the highest measured or estimated SAR for each standalone antenna configuration, adjusted for max imum tune-up tolerance) / 1.6 W/kg] + [ ∑ of MPE ratios] is ≤ 1.0. • The SAR to peak location separation ratios of all s imultaneous transmitting antenna pairs operating in portable exposure conditions are all ≤ 0.04 and the [ ∑ of MPE ratios] is ≤ 1.0. As the maximum calculated MPE ratio for the device is 0,5723506 , the equipment can be co-located with other transm itters in a mixed mobile and portable conditions providing that the exposure of the co-lo cated transmitter complies with: • The [ ∑ of (the highest measured or estimated SAR for each standalone antenna configuration, adjusted for max imum tune-up tolerance) / 1.6 W/kg] + [ ∑ of MPE ratios] is ≤ 1.0 – 0,5723506 = 0,4276494 OR • The SAR to peak location separation ratios of all simultaneous transmitting antenna pairs operating i n portable exposure conditions are all ≤ 0.04 and the [ ∑ of MPE ratios] is ≤ 1.0 – 0,5723506 = 0,4276494 Yours sincerely, p.a.
