Users Manual

Getting Started For the first time using the handsfree, please: „ Charge handsfree with the provided saver charger for 3 hours. „ Ensure a Bluetooth function supporting mobile phone is ready for pairing. Charging Notes: Switch On/Off Switch on handsfree Press and hold the Multifunction Key for 4/5 seconds until you hear a low to high ‘dodo’ sound and indicator light flashes blue. Switch off headset Press and hold the Multifunction Key for 4/5 seconds until you hear a high to low ‘dodo’ sound and indicator light flashes red and then goes off. „ Charge the handsfree only with the saver charger supplier provided. „ Maximum charging time: 3 hours „ Indicator light stops flashing red when fully charged. „ Talking time: up to 10 hours Standby time: up to 200 hours „Low battery signals: indicator light flashes red and ‘do’ sound until handsfree is recharged. „ Do not charge up to 24 hours. 6 Pairing with a phone Before using the handsfree, you must pair it with the mobile phone first. Once the handsfree and the phone has paired, they store the ID of each other. Thus they can connect to each other automatically. You can check, delete or rename the paired device in the devices list of the mobile phone. 1. Place the Bluetooth handsfree and the Bluetooth mobile within a distance of 1 meter. 2. Switch on the Bluetooth mobile and enable Bluetooth feature. *If the phone have ’Profile’ options, you are recommended to select ‘Handsfree/Car Kit Profile’ rather than ‘Headset Profile’. 3. Turn on the handsfree. The indicator light flashes blue every 5 second indicates it is in idle mode. 4. On the Bluetooth mobile, searching for device, ‘HF009’ will appear in the device list. 5. Select device ‘HF009’ and enter pass key ‘8888’. The indicator light turns blue steadily. Pairing completed. 6. Make sure the paired mobile has returned to main menu. Check if the mobile displays any Bluetooth status info. 7. The volume is automatically set to middle level. For best performance, press ‘+’ or ‘-’ to adjust a suitable volume level. * Some phones automatically connect to headset as the pairing is completed. Some phones require manually built up the connection. Please refer to your phone’s user manual. You should now be able to make wireless communication with the handsfree. Keep the distance between the handsfree and the mobile within 10 meters and free from obstacles. You can dial and receive calls by the phone, or activate the voice dialing, redial the last number and receive calls through the handsfree. * ‘Handsfree/Car Kit Profile’ supports ‘Caller ID display’, ‘Redial the last number’, ‘Call waiting’ and ‘Call transfer’ functions. If the mobile phone only supports ‘Headset Profile’, those functions are not available. 7 Charge with saver charger(cigarette light adaptor) Switch on the handsfree. Connect the saver charger to the in car cigarette socket, and then to the charging port of the handsfree. Indicator light flashes red and blue alternately. 5 Switch to/ from waiting call Transfer to phone Re-dial last number Voice dial Mute/Un- mute microphone Adjust Volume Privacy call Disconnect with mobile Low battery Charging Charging completed During a call, when another call dials in, press multifunction twice for switching to the 2nd call. Press twice again to switch back. During a call, press and hold multifunc- tion key. In standby mode, press multifunction key twice. In standby mode, press multifunction key once. During a call, press together ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons once. Click ‘+’ or ‘-’ button to control the voice gain. Connect external headphone to head- phone port. Press and hold ‘+’ or ‘-’ button. - Connect to charger and switch on the power Within 3 hours ‘do’ sound - - A tone from the handsfree in- dicates the phone is ready to receive voice tag. ‘do’ sound. You can still hear the other side. - - - Red on and ‘do’ sound. Flashes red & blue Stops flashing red CALLER NUMBER TRANSFER REDIAL VOICEDIAL > CALLING - displays volume level - DISCON LOWBATT CHARGING BLUETOOTH Operation Indicator Light & Sound LCD DisplayStatus Connect/Reconnect to phone When the handsfree is switched on, press the Multifunction Key once and the handsfree will automatically connects to the paired mobile phones nearby. If the handsfree has paired with many mobile phones and they are within 10 meters, the handsfree will connect to the last connected mobile phone. Different phones connect with handsfree in different methods. The following are the 2 methods, namely A and B: A: When the handsfree is in standby mode and is dialing or receiving a call by the phone, the phone connects to handsfree automatically. When receiving a call, redialing or activating the voice dial through the handsfree, the handsfree connects to the phone automatically. B: After the handsfree and the phone are connected, the handsfree sends signals to the phone to keep the connection. For method B, if the handsfree and the phone are disconnected, manual reconnection is required: Press Multifunction Key once, the handsfree will connect to the phone again. If the phone confirms to the reconnection signal, reconnection completed. In the setting menu of the phone, select ‘HF009’ from ‘Paired Device’. Select the ‘connect’ and the phone will connect to the handsfree. 8 EITHER OR 9 1. Inside the car, clip the provided bracket to the sun visor as shown. 2. Fix the handsfree on the bracket. 3. To flip the handsfree up or down, first release the screw of the bracket a little bit. 4. After the handsfree has adjusted to a com- fortable view angle facing you, lock the screw. 5. Make sure the microphone handle is pull out. Use in car Use in office / home 1. Pull up the stand at the backside. 2. American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 June 22, 2005 RE: CANHOLD INTERNATIONAL LIMITED FCC ID: RRSBTHF009 After a review of the submitted information, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. 1) Please provide bottom view of the RF module/board shown: 2) Please provide an actual sample label. The label that can be seen in the photograph showing label location appears much different than the “Word Generated” version provided for a sample label. They each contain different information. The FCC desires an actual photograph or similar documentation (engineering drawing, CAD layout, etc.) showing the final label should be provided. Additionally, the photographs appears to show an FCC logo on the label. At first impression, this device should not require the FCC logo, which is reserved for certain DoC approvals (note that Receivers as part of a transceiver are subject to Verification). If this is present on the label, it will require justification for its use. 3) The schematics do not include the TX. Note that a schematic for the TX portion of the device is required as specified 2.1033(b)(5) for the RF section. Please provide either a schematic for the TX card or as an alternative, you may provide a parts list that lists that shows that this part is provided by another manufacturer (the parts list should show the manufacturers name as well). Please provide either a schematic or parts list as specified. If necessary, please update the confidentiality letter to include the parts list. z Page 2 June 22, 2005 4) This unit is clearly designed for car, portable, and office use and not necessarily restricted to vehicle use based upon its design. Additionally, the device incorporates a standard type of AC/DC adapter connector and appears to be able to be used with a standard AC/DC adapter. This is also supported given information in the users manual as it discusses an AC adapter and also office use. Therefore AC Power Line Conducted emissions with an off the shelf unit or a unit intended by the manufacturer to be for this use should be performed and not considered as N/A. Note that Section 15.207(c) REQUIRES AC line conducted test data to be submitted unless the device is strictly battery-powered. The last sentence of this regulation states that devices that include, or make provisions for, the use of battery chargers which permit operating while charging, AC adapters or battery eliminators or that connect to the AC power lines indirectly, obtaining their power through another device which is connected to the AC power lines, shall be tested to demonstrate compliance with the conducted limits. 5) It appears that extensive modifications were required to meet FCC regulations . Please explain how the modifications made to this unit will be implemented in production. There is concern about how well a manufactured unit will duplicate the test sample due to the nature of the modifications. Please provide the following: a) detailed explanation of how the modifications will be implemented into manufactured units such that the modifications will be equivalent to the ones shown b) information/specifications of the material used for the modifications c) If the manufactured units will be implemented differently than the modifications shown in the application, then a Permissive Change (Class 1 or 2 depending on the results obtained from the data) should be performed on a production equivalent unit. Please confirm that the manufacturer is aware of this fact. 6) The test photographs appear to show the device lying down. However, expected use appears to be lying down or standing up and both positions should have been tested in effort to obtain worse case radiated results. Was this performed? 7) Please explain why plots on pages 26-28 shows higher emissions than the tabular data. Note that additionally the plots are actually taken using a lower RBW setting than the tabular data. Additionally, please explain why emissions for high channel at 2.240 and 7.43 GHz are over the 54 dBuV/m limit, but neither appear to be measured for radiated emissions. Please note that spurious emissions are any emissions (harmonics, modulation by-products, intermodulation, or other emissions) that occur from activation of the Transmitter, not just the harmonics. 8) One of the readings on page 36 & 37 of the test report shows an average measurement. However, compliance for peak measurements must also be shown. 9) FYI....Section 1.2 of the report regarding the receiver is incorrectly stated. Receivers as part of a transceiver as stated in 15.101(b) are subject to Verification requirements, not DoC. Timothy R. Please provide. 2) The labeling information provided is still contradictive. One label shows the 2 part statement, the sample label is missing this. It appears the 2 part FCC statement is not on the actual label as it should be. Additionally the FCC DoC logo appears on the actual label, but at first impression, this device should not require the FCC logo, which is reserved for certain DoC approvals (note that Receivers as part of a transceiver are subject to Verification). If this is present on the label, it will require justification for its use. 3) The BOM provided does not appear to explain who the manufacturer of the RF module is. Please provide further information. 4) Please explain why the photographs showing extensive modifications were removed from the most recent set of internal photographs provided. 5) Please explain the very high emissions falling outside the transmit band on page 33 of the revised test report. These appear to be quite high and possibly do not meet the limits. Please review. 6) The test photographs appear to show the device lying down. Please see "FCC ID Label (ver.02)". 3. Please see " BTR110_spec[1]" for the information of module manufacture. 4. The extensive modification was made for ESD part of CE testing. So we remove the modification and test again to make sure the Radiated Emission meets FCC limits. 5. Point 2391.0 on page 33 is a typing error. It is the fundamental. We omitted that point. 6.
