American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 May 17, 2007 RE: FCC ID: S5Z120049TX_ATCB004897 Attention: Mr Y.T. Law I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please complete the 731 form to provide the necessary information for certification of this device. Please include the rule part in section III 4b, check if original filing/PC in section III 1/2/or3, the frequency of operation in section III 6a, composite section III 7a and b, name of test firm on file with the FCC in section III 9a and b and please check yes in the box in section IV 1. 2. Please provide a manual that is readable. Please make sure that any necessary part 15 statement is placed in the manual. 3. Please note that part 15 handheld devices are required to be tested in all three orthogonal planes. While this statement appears to be in the report, it is not clear from the test report if this was actually done. Please confirm that the device was tested in all three orthogonal planes. If the device was not tested in all three orthogonal planes, please retest and show evidence of this requirement. 4. Please note that the requirement not to list emissions below 20dB of the limit apply to unintentional radiators. Please note that for intentional radiators the FCC does require that in the event no radiated spurious emissions are within 20dB of the limit that at least 6 readings are provided. Please also note that ANSI C63.4 clearly states β€œFor intentional radiators , for each of the frequencies to which the device is tuned, the frequency and amplitude of the highest fundamental emission, the frequency and amplitude of the three highest harmonic or spurious emissions relative to the limit, and the frequency and amplitude of the three highest restricted band emissions relative to the limit shall be reported. While these readings can be the analyzer noise floor, these readings are still to be presented in the test report. Please provide the required frequencies and amplitudes of the radiated spurious emissions readings specified above to verify compliance of the device. 5. Please explain how you performed average measurements in the test report. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.
