Type: Generation: 01 Serial no.: 2 Description 2.1 Use of the product as directed The Hilti PR 30-HVS is a rotating laser tool with a visible rotating laser beam and a reference beam set at 90° to the main beam. The PR 30-HVS can be used for alignment in the vertical, horizontalandinclinedplanes. The tool is designed to be used to determine, transfer and check levels, verticals, slopes and right angles. Examples of its uses are: transferring datums and height marks, determining right angles for walls, vertical alignment on reference points and setting out slopes. The tool is designed for professional use and may be operated, serviced andmaintained only by trained, authorized personnel. This personnel must be informed of any special hazards that maybe encountered. The tool and its ancillary equipment may present hazards when used incorrectly by untrained personnel or when used not as directed. Hilti supplies various accessories which allow the tool to be used with maximum efficiency. To avoid the risk of injury, use only genuine Hilti accessories and insert tools. Observe the information printed in the operating instructions concerning operation, care and maintenance. Take the influences of the surrounding area into account. Do not use the appliance where there is a risk of fire or explosion. Modification of the tool is not permissible. en 2 2.2 Features Thetoolmakesitpossibleforasinglepersontoleveloraligninanyplanequickly and with great accuracy. The tool levels itself automatically after switching on. The laser beam isemitted only when the specified accuracy has been achieved. LEDs indicate the current operating status. The tool is powered by a rechargeable Li‑ion battery which can be charged while the tool is in operation. 2.3 PRA 30 combined remote control and laser receiver The PRA 30 is a combined remote control unit and laser receiver. It can be used to control the PR 30-HVS rotating laser over great distances. No. 1.3, 2013-04-04 2 SUMMARY 2.1 GENERAL REMARKS: The EUT is equipped with a RF transceiver operating within the free 2.4 GHz ISM band that enables the user to control the whole alignment system remote. The EUT is modified to use one of three fixed frequencies with a LBT mechanism to use the free frequency which isn ́t occupied. Update testing The EUT is tested and compliant according CFR 47, Part 15.249, FCC ID: SDL-PR3XR01 with the Test Report No. T33893-01-02HS, 2010-08-02 and RSS 210, IC ID: 5228A-PR3XR01 with the Test Report No. T33893-01-03HS, 2010-08-03 by mikes testing partners GmbH. The EUT has only got a re-configuration of the transmission frequency. All other devices are in position and value the same. This Test Report shows the further compliance with CFR 47, Part 15.249 by re-measurement of the most concerned tests to the RF-part. The following tests are selected for re-measurement: - Equivalent isotropic radiated power - Transmitter spurious emissions Variants of the EUT During the tests one EUT worked with the fixed frequency of 2405 MHz, the second EUT worked with 2440 MHz and the third worked with 2480 MHz. Addition to transmitter fundamental signal level test The transmitter fundamental level was measured in test report T36776‐01‐00TK with averaging method (10 Hz VBW), giving a measurement result of 40 dBμV/m This inherently takes into account the long term duty cycle of one pulse per 600 mS period For completeness, the measurement is here compared to the FCC and IC requirements to average over a 100 mS period, using the peak level and the duty cycle correction factor As per section 5.3 of test report T36776‐01‐00TK is ‐36.1 dB As per section 5.1.3 of test report T36776‐01‐00TK, the peak fundamental level is 98.6 dBμV/m Therefore, the average fundamental level according to the FCC and IC requirements for a pulsing signal is: 98.6 – 36.1 = 62.5 dBμV/m
