Greetings: Per the Commission’s correspondence dated 28 July, 2011, this is a replacement confidentiality letter relative to the pending application for Equipment Authorization (Certification) of the Multidetector PS38. Specifically, the Commission noticed a discrepancy between the description of the information requested to be kept confidential in our letter dated 27.06.2011 (which listed “Schematics, Parts List, Operating Description, Block Diagram” as the range of the contents of the application to remain confidential) and the other application documents, which seemed to include only a subset of those documents. The Commission letter noted that the Exhibits to the application showed that the following documents were to be kept confidential: “Exhibit 4 Block Diagram, Exhibit 5 Schematics, and Exhibit 12 Operational Description.” The Commission letter asked for a clarification of the discrepancy. It is our request that the entirety of all Schematics, the entire Operating Description and the entirety of the Block Diagram be kept confidential, notwithstanding any indication in some parts of those documents that might not have indicated our intention to keep all parts of each of those documents confidential. The entirety of the Schematics, Parts List, Operating Description, and Block Diagram contain trade secrets and proprietary information that is not customarily released to the public. The public disclosure of these items, or any of them, is expected to be harmful to the Applicant and would create competitive disadvantages to the Applicant relative to its competitors.
