Federal Communications Commission Equipment Approval Services P.O.Box 358315 Pittsburgh PA 15251-5315 U.S.A. Klosterneuburg, Nov. 22, 2004 Our application for FCC approval, FCC Identifier SHXA733GSM-USA: Tune Up Info for Q2426 GSM-Module Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, For radio communication purposes we have implemented the Wavecom Q2426 GSM modem into the above mentioned device. We have not made any changes to this modem whatsoever, but only connected it to our device’s PCB through the standard connector provided by Wavecom. Said Wavecom modem has received it’s own type approval in combination with the evaluation board provided by Wavecom, FCC Identi- fier O9EQ2426-SK. Since said evaluation board is not used in our application a separate type approval is required. The Adcon A733 GSM, FCC ID SHXA733GSM-USA, does not apply any changes or modifications to this module neither in respect of it’s hardware nor firm- ware nor the tune-up procedures. We therefore kindly request your approval for our SHXA733GSM-USA RTU. Best regards, Bernhard Pacher Managing Director Adcon Telemetry GmbH

RF exposure compliance issues: This telemetry device is normally used only at fixed locations far away from persons. It is collecting data from various sensors and transmitting it through the GSM network. According to Supplement C of OET Bulletin 65 for fixed transmitters operating in the broadband PCS band evaluation is not required when the total power of all channels used is below or equal to 2000 W ERP. This device only uses one channel in the PCS 1900 MHz Band with a maximum power output of 1 Watt, and ERP not exceeding 2 Watts. So this device is excluded from routine evaluation. It must be operated only as fixed device, never should be used as mobile or portable device.
