The Bluetooth headset is the next generation of mobile accessories – a comfortable and portable Bluetooth headset for hands free communication with your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. The headset allows the user to communicate between various Bluetooth devices, including cellular phones, personal digital assistants, and laptop computers. Bluetooth is a short- range wireless communication technology. It allows wireless connections between Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth refers to a worldwide standard designed to operate in the internationally recognized ISM (Industrial Scientific and Medical) frequency band. Within the ISM band (2.4GHz~2.4835GHz) Bluetooth transmissions hop between 79 separate frequencies 1,600 times every second, and with a communication range of about 10 meters (class II). Package Contents BluetoothΒ™ Headset Charger Features Fully compliant with Bluetooth version 1.2. Supports Bluetooth headset profile and hands-free profile. Comfortable, ergonomic and lightweight design for long wear use. Optimized acoustic design. Easy to operate user interface for call answer/initiate, volume control, mute and pairing. Allows voice dialing on voice dial capable phones. Rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Bi-color LED indicator shows headset status - active, ready, battery low or charge status. 4 II. Start Use Headset Charging the Battery For first time used, before you can use your headset, you need to charge its self-contained battery for two hours. Recharging-When you see LED at glimmering red light, the headset battery needs to be recharged. It will take approximately 2 hours to fully charge the battery. To Recharge the Battery 1. Plug the travel charger into an AC outlet. 2. Connect another end of DC power plug into charging port of headset. 3. The red indicator on the headset turns on. 4. When the battery is full, the red indicator turns off. A fully charged headset battery will provide up to 7 hours of talk time, and up to 170 hours of standby time. Turning the Headset On/Off Turning On 1. To turn power on by pressing and hold the MFB button. 2. Wait for more than 5 seconds until the blue light is ON. 3. Release button. 4. The headset speaker sounds low to high tone. 5. The blue light flashes two times of every three seconds. Note: If the headset battery is low, the red light on the headset will turn on. Turning Off 1. To turn power off by pressing and hold the MFB button. 2. Wait for more than 5 seconds until the blue light and red light is ON. 3. Release both button. 4. The headset speaker sounds high to low tone. 5. The blue light and red light turn off. 5 Pairing the Headset and Phone You must pair your headset and Bluetooth enabled phone before you use the headset. 1. Turn the headset on. 2. Press Volume Up button for more than 2 seconds until the red and blue light glimmers alternatively. 3. Release button. 4. Perform a device discovery from the phone. Please refer to the users guide for the phone to find out details on device discovery for your phone. 5. When the scan is complete, the phone displays the devices found. 6. Select the PBH300 from the discovered devices list and confirm following the on screen prompts. 7. When prompted by the phone, enter the pass code β€œ0000” and confirm to pair the headset with the phone. 8. Pairing is finished successfully when the headset blue light indicator flashes 10 times rapidly and headset speaker sounds single tone. About Pairing β€œPairing” creates a permanent, secure link between devices equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology and allows the phone to remember the headsets unique ID. Once paired, the communication between two devices does not need any authentication or authorization anymore. Paired devices remain paired even when one of the devices is not powered …

Introduction In this document, we try to prove the safety of radiation harmfulness to the human body for our product. The limit for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) specified in FCC 1.1310 is followed. The Gain of the antenna used in this product is measured in a Fully Anechoic Chamber (FAC) calibrated for antenna measurement in ADT, and also the maximum total power input to the antenna is measured. Through the Friis transmission formula and the maximum gain of the antenna, we can calculate the distance, away from the product, where the limit of MPE is reached. Although the Friis transmission formula is a far field assumption, the calculated result of that is an over-prediction for near field power density. We will take that as the worst case to specify the safety range. 2. RF Exposure Limit According to FCC 1.1310: The criteria listed in the following table shall be used to evaluate the environmental impact of human exposure to radio-frequency (RF) radiation as specified in 1.1307(b) LIMITS FOR MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE (MPE) Frequency Range (MHz) Electric Field Strength (V/m) Magnetic Field Strength (A/m) Power Density (mW/cm 2 ) Average Time (minutes) (A)Limits For Occupational / Control Exposures 300-1500......F/3006 1500-100,000......56 (B)Limits For General Population / Uncontrolled Exposure 300-1500......F/15006 1500-100,000......1.030 F = Frequency in MHz FCC ID: SV2BTHS300 Report No: SA941212L07 3 3. Friis Formula Friis transmission formula: Pd = (Pout*G) / (4*pi*r 2 ) where Pd = power density in mW/cm 2 Pout = output power to antenna in mW G = gain of antenna in linear scale Pi = 3.1416 R = distance between observation point and center of the radiator in cm If we know the maximum Gain of the antenna and the total power input to the antenna, through the calculation, we will know the MPE value at distance 20cm.
