a b Ages 4+ Item no. 03020 Rocking RC Black Pearl Instructions Out of the Box: Remove Rocking RC Black Pearl from the box, carefully collecting and disposing of the packaging properly. Package Contents: - Rocking RC Black Pearl - Skull Remote - Jack Sparrow Figure - Barrel - Cannon Read instructions before use, and keep for future reference. IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION: CAUTION: As with all small batteries, the batteries used with this toy should be kept away from small children. If they are swallowed, promptly see a doctor and have the doctor phone the poison control center. Make sure that batteries are inserted correctly and follow the toy and battery manufacturer's instructions. - The Rocking RC Black Pearl uses four (4) AA / LR6 1.5V batteries and the Skull Remote uses one (1) 9V/6LR61 9V battery. - When replacing, replace all four (4) of the RC Black Pearl’s batteries at the same time. - Do not mix old and new batteries. - Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable batteries. - Do not dispose of used batteries in a fire. This could cause the batteries to explode. - Battery installation should be done by an adult. - Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. - Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (if removable). - Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable). - Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. - Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. - Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. - The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. - Replace with new batteries at the first sign of erratic operation. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Always have an adult perform the battery installation. 1) Using a Phillips head (cross-head) screwdriver, remove the battery covers located on the bottom of the ship and the back of the skull remote. 2) Insert 4 new AA/LR6 1.5V batteries (not included) into the ship and 1 9V/6LR61 battery (not included) into the skull remote. Make sure you install the batteries according to the correct polarity. 3) Replace the battery covers. To Activate the Rocking RC Black Pearl: 1) To turn the RC Black Pearl ON, flip the switch located on the back of the ship to the left. 2) Point the skull remote towards the RC Black Pearl and press in one of the skull’s eyes. a. To make the ship move forward, press the skull’s left eye. (a) b. To make the ship change directions, press the skull’s right eye. (b) c. The RC Black Pearl can move on low cut carpeting and hard floor surfaces. 3) To turn the RC Black Pearl OFF, flip the switch located on the back of the ship to its original position. Note: The Rocking RC Black Pearl is not intended for water play. Rocking RC Black Pearl Assembly: 1) Place bow sprit into corresponding areas on the front of the ship. 2) Place each anchor into the designated places on the sides of the front of the ship. 3) Place the steering wheel and railing piece into the corresponding holes on the upper deck of the ship. 4) Assemble the front mast: A) Snap one of the two largest sails onto the second tallest mast. The sail should snap in between the bottom two notches on the mast. B) Slide the sail with the longest rigging line attached to it onto the mast. This sail should slide down until it rests above the top notch on the mast. C) Place the entire mast into its designated location on the front deck of the ship. D) Attach rigging line to the bow sprit. 5) Assemble the middle mast: A) Snap the ratlines onto the tallest mast. The ratlines should snap together directly under the crow’s nest.
