EVI-KIT1 Installation Sheet INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1) The number of tags included with the kits may vary. It is recommended, whenever possible, to install half of the kits inside the vehicle and the other half outside. 2) A minimum of 1 (one) meter in between each tags shall be observed during the installation. 3) Installations should be done with long term durability in mind. The tags shall not be installed with parts or components that are likely to be replaced either with vehicle aging, rust, or minor accidents. As an example, bumpers and mirrors must be avoided since they are frequently replaced following a collision. 4) The installation can be done inside the compartments and/or the components of the vehicle, as long as the tag is not completely enclosed within a metallic space. 5) The authorized materials to affix the tags to the vehicle are the following: dum-dum, hockey tape, epoxy, spray glue such as “3M Spray Glue”. IT IS REQUIRED TO FIX THE TAGS CAREFULLY ON THE VEHICULE TO AVOID LOSING TAGS ON THE ROAD. 6) It is important to be creative in installing the kit. THE TAGS SHALL BE HIDDEN IN DIFFERENT PLACES FROM ONE VEHICULE TO ANOTHER. P LEASE AVOID 1) The tags should not be installed within an enclosed metallic container or space. For example, a drop-in installation in the frame of the vehicle must be avoided since it would inhibit signal propagation. 2) The enclosure of the tags must not be modified in any way. The components occupy all the space within the enclosure. Fiche d’installation du kit EVI-KIT1 PROCEDURE D’INSTALLATION (1) Le nombre de modules compris dans les kits peut varier. Il est important, dans la mesure du possible, d’installer la moitié des modules du kit a l’intérieur du véhicule et l’autre moitié a l’extérieur. (2) Les modules doivent être installés a une distance minimale de un (1) mètre l’un de l’autre. (3) Il est important de prévoir une installation efficace à long terme. Donc, les modules ne doivent pas être installer a des endroit ou dans des pièces qui risques de devoir être remplacer, soit avec l’usure normale du véhicule, la dégradation cause par la rouille ou en cas d’accident mineur. A titre d’exemple, les pare- chocs et les miroirs extérieurs sont à éviter car ils sont fréquemment remplacés à la suite d’accrochage sur les routes. (4) L’installation peut ce faire a l’intérieur des compartiments et/ou des composantes du véhicule : l’habitacle, les sièges, le coffre arrière, etc. (5) Les matériaux autorises pour fixer les modules au véhicule lors de l’installation sont les suivants : dum-dum, hockey tape, époxy, colle vaporisée de type « 3M Spray Glue ». IL EST IMPORTANT DE BIEN FIXER LES MODULES AFIN QU’ILS NE TOMBENT PAS EN COURS DE ROUTE. (6) Il est important d’être créatif lors de l’installation du kit. LES CACHETTES DOIVENT OBLIGATOIREMENT VARIEES D’UN VEHICULE À L’AUTRE. A EVITER (1) Ne jamais mélanger les modules d’un kit avec ceux d’un autre. (2) Les modules ne doivent pas être installe de façon a ce qu’ils soient encapsules dans une surface métallique.
