This will also, amongst other things, play music and movie files for you, read on for more details. 13. camera: The centralised position of the camera lens makes it easy to focus in on the subject of your photograph, whilst viewing the image on the main screen. 14. battery cover: An easy to remove cover to keep the battery protected. 15. poWer socket: This allows you to charge your Device efficiently by connecting it directly to a mains power supply. 16. usb socket: In order that you can take full advantage of your Gizmondo tm device, we have integrated a USB socket into the console so that you can plug your Device directly into your PC and use it in conjunction with microsoft® activesync. 17. stereo headphone socket: Allows you to enjoy your Gizmondo tm device without interruption 18. sd card slot: When you buy games or movies for your Gizmondo tm device they will come in the form of an sd memory card. get up and running to get your gizmondo tm device up and running you will need to carefully work through the step by step instructions, as outlined in the next 4 pages: 1. installing your sim card and battery 2. charging your battery 3. powering up the device gizmondo quick start guide get up and running page 8 installing your sim card and battery the sim card is enclosed in your pack. as a means of protection, it is attached to a credit card-sized piece of plastic. Carefully push the sim card away from the surrounding card, making sure that nothing comes into contact with its metal contacts. make sure the gizmondo tm device is switched off and the charger is disconnected. turn your gizmondo tm device over so it is facing front down. You will see that there is a battery cover at the back of the gizmondo tm device. remove this battery cover by releasing the catch. in the centre of the battery compartment you will see that there is a sim card holder. When installing the sim card be sure that you have the gold bars on the card facing into the gizmondo tm Device, so that they align with the six gold contacts within the body of the device. the cut away notch in the sim card should be facing towards the top left hand side of the gizmondo tm device. Lower the sim card holder back into the body of the gizmondo tm device. slide the silver metallic strip, which is across the sim card holder, upwards towards the top of the gizmondo tm device. place the battery inside the device, as shown in the diagram. make sure that the gold contacts on the batter…

These are core functional components of the Gizmondo device, which makes it a unique within the market place. The architecture is deemed to be a trade secret and is only privileged to certain key company Stakeholders and system developers. These are internally based and such disclosure to outside partie(s) would conflict with company policy, intellectual property and overall intellectual security. The Gizmondo functionality has been designed within a small product size and therefore the intellectual architecture would be of extreme interest to competitors. As this product is deemed to be an individual entity within the market place, ie one in which provides such an array of functionality, allowing schematic and block system diagrams for public view would harm and have detrimental effects on the business strategy as well as the future financial product roadmap plan. Any technical data deemed to be of interest to the public is made accessible on the Gizmondo website. This in essence is a diluted version of the micro level information submitted to the FCC. Operational Description

Internal Technical Documentation Operational Description of the Gizmondo Device The Gizmondo terminal is a high performance electronic gaming device that also features GPS and GSM to provide location based services. The design aim is for market leading games performance and multimedia functions combined with small size in order to make the Gizmondo attractive to children. Key applications and services supported are:- • 3D gaming including peer to peer gaming using Bluetooth and GPRS • Remote tracking of the Gizmondo and Location Based Services using GSM and GPS • Playback of Windows WMV video • MP3 and Windows WMA playback • Messaging; SMS and MMS messaging, Email • Digital Camera • IE Browser and content download • Smart Add enabled The chosen Operating System platform is Microsoft Windows CE.NET (version 4.2). This selection encompasses the operating kernel and some of the platform infrastructure. The user interface and applications are custom developed. The Gizmondo device works in conjunction to the network and server infrastructure, where additional services are stored and supplied. The Gizmondo terminal exists within the context of a network infrastructure and certain features interact heavily with that infrastructure. Operational Description Bluetooth Our product fully complies with the modulation system as described in BT specification v1.1. GSM Our product fully complies to PTCRB with the modulation system as defined in Annex G in TS 51.010 DC voltages and Currents into final radio amplifying device Bluetooth The supply voltage for the internal radio is 1.8V, as per data sheet for BC3-ROM. The total maximum current, including baseband, for the BC3-ROM is 33.82mA as per data sheet. GSM The supply voltage for the internal radio is VBAT, definied in Gizmondo PICS. The average current for the power amplifier in the PCS band is 162.5mA with one TX slot, if utilizing two TX slots this increases to 325mA. Means for determining and stabilising frequency, suppression of spurious radiation, limiting modulation, and limiting power Bluetooth This is described in detail in BT specification v1.1, which our product fully complies with. GSM This is described in detail in PTCRB TS 51.010, which our product fully complies with.
