The Bluetooth Audio Adapter is a device that provides Bluetooth connectivity for stereo audio streaming when plugged into 3.5mm stereo jack(headphone) of any audio devices or USB port of laptops or desktops without Bluetooth functionalities. What’s included in the Package Description of Parts USB Connecto r Battery Ejector Battery Pack A udio Connecto r MFB (Multi-Function Button) LED Bluetooth Audio Adapter Stereo Cable Manual USB Cable 4 BLUETOOTH AUDIO ADAPTE R Charging the Audio Adapter Switching the Audio Adapter ON/OFF z To power on Audio Adapter, click and hold MFB for 3-4 seconds until LED flashes blue rapidly and then release button. z To power off Audio Adapter, click and hold MFB for 3-4 seconds until LED flashes red rapidly and then release button. Pairing Audio Adapter with SONORIX Headset z With Headset in pairing mode, mount battery onto Audio Adapter. Click and hold MFB for 3-4 seconds until LED flashes blue rapidly and continue holding the button for 4 more seconds and when LED flashes slow constantly release button. z After a few seconds, Headset and Audio Adapter will be paired and connected. z When paired and connected, LEDs of both Headset and Audio Adapter will be in OFF state. W ith battery mounted onto u dio Adapte r , plug one end o f C /DC adapter into AC powe r u pply and the other into USB o rt of Audio Adapter. Battery can also be charged b y connecting Audio Adapter toUSB port of PC using the USBcable. Note : Interoperability of Audio Adapter is guaranteed only when used withSONORIX Bluetooth Stereo Headset OBH-0110 * Battery at the time of purchase must be charged for at least 2 hours before use. 5 BLUETOOTH AUDIO ADAPTE R Using Audio Adapter with Headset to Listen to Music z Power on Headset and Audio Adapter to establish Bluetooth connection. Plug one end of Stereo or USB cable into Audio Adapter and the other end into Stereo or USB input of audio device. z From now on, music will play from Headset in stereo mode. z While playing music, user can control volume and also pause, stop and replay music by manipulating buttons on Headset. However, it is important to note that during execution of pause, stop and replay functions, even though music will not be heard from Headset, music will continuously be playing from the audio device itself. This is due to the fact audio signal processing from Audio Adapter is analog in nature. z To use Audio Adapter to stream audio from PC, plug one end of the mini USB into Audio Adapter and the other end into USB port of PC. z The Audio Adapter will then take over the default soundcard as ‘USB Audio Device’. If music does not play from Headset, go to Control Panel Æ Sound and Audio Setting and check if ‘USB Audio Device’ is present under Audio Tab. If USB is plugged out, ‘USB Audio Device’ will disappear from Audio Tab. z From now on, music will play from Headset in stereo mode. Note : With battery mounted, if Audio Adapter is connected to PC via USBCable, it will automatically enter into charging mode. Since power is supplied from PC, Audio Dongle can be used for streaming audio without having tomount battery. 6 BLUETOOTH AUDIO ADAPTE R Hints for Optimum Audio Transmission The performance of wireless audio streaming depends on the environment where it is used. Walls, partitions, doors, furniture etc can block the path of transmitted radio signals thereby resulting in shorter range and even sound distortions. Likewise, the human body also affects the performance especially when the Audio Adapter connected to audio device is held close to the body. It is therefore a good practice to use headset and audio Adapter on the right side of the body as the right side of the Headset communicates with the Audio Adapter. Operational Description This product, OBA-0110, is a Bluetooth device. The product operates in 2400 to 2483.5 MHz band. The channel is represented by a pseudo-random hopping sequence through the 79 channels. The channel is divided into time slots, with a nominal slot length of 625μs, where each slot corresponds to different RF hop frequencies. The nominal hop rate is 1600 hops/s. The control signals and data in the Bluetooth Chipset are modulated and processed and then pass the PA in it. They will be transmitted from ANT through the BALUN FILTER to another Bluetooth device. The RF signal from other Bluetooth devices is received via ANT. And they go through BALUN FILTER into the chip. They are magnified by internal LNA in the chip. The power settings and crystal trim are stored in EEPROM. The product has an Inverted F PCB antenna in it.
