American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 September 26, 2007 RE: SDT Information Technology FCC ID: UFHV11 I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) The Label for this device indicates that DofC applies to this product. Please note that DofC testing for Part 15B is not permitted in China. In what country was Part 15B testing performed? 2.) I am unsure as to why the 8GHz wide spans on pages 69-74 are presented. Why are not spans from 2483.5MHz to 26GHz presented? 3.) Please refer to the RF Pout in section 5.6 of the Test Report. Please provide mid-channel readings of RF power for all data rates from lowest to highest power. 4.) Please see section 7.6 of the Test Report. There is no vertical graticule shown on these plots. Therefore I am unable to associate any of the markers presented with their corresponding frequency in determining compliance. Please correct. I am especially concerned with all radiated band edge measurements taken on Channel 11. 5.) Please observe your Test Setup photographs. ANSI C63.4 does not permit condone the use of strip outlets on the tabletop during testing. Please correct. 6.) Please add the 15.19(a)(3) and 15.21 statements to the Manual. In addition, please be sure that any appropriate RF Exposure information is also presented. William H. Graff President mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

Limits According to FCC 1.1310: The criteria listed in the following table shall be used to evaluate the environment impact of human exposure to radio frequency (RF) radiation as specified in 1.1307(b) LIMITS FOR MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE (MPE) Frequency Range (MHz) Electric Field Strength (V/m) Magnetic Field Strength (A/m) Power Density (mW/cm2) Average Time (Minutes) (A) Limits for Occupational/ Control Exposures 300-1500 -- -- F/300 6 1500-100,000 -- -- 5 6 (B) Limits for General Population/ Uncontrolled Exposures 300-1500 -- -- F/1500 6 1500-100,000 -- -- 1 30 F= Frequency in MHz Friis Formula Friis transmission formula: Pd = (Pout*G)/(4*pi*r2) Where Pd = power density in mW/cm2 Pout = output power to antenna in mW G = gain of antenna in linear scale Pi = 3.1416 R = distance between observation point and center of the radiator in cm Pd id the limit of MPE, 1 mW/cm2 . If we know the maximum gain of the antenna and the total power input to the antenna, through the calculation, we will know the distance r where the MPE limit is reached.
