Introduction Repeaters are used to fill out uncovered areas in cellular mobile systems, such as base station fringe areas, road tunnels, business and industrial buildings, etc. A repeater receives signals from a base station, amplifies and retransmits the signals to mobile stations. Also it receives, amplifies and retransmits signals in the opposite direction. Both directions are served simultaneously. To be able to receive and transmit signals in both directions, the repeater is connected to a donor antenna directed towards the base station and to a service antenna directed towards the area to be covered. American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 November 28, 2006 RE: Longent,LLC FCC ID: URFL800RDBS I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) Please explain how this device will be able to provide a booster/repeater function for only CDMA signals. 2.) There are several references to 1M25F9W emissions in the Test Report. Will CDMA signals with a necessary bandwidth of 1M25 be the only ones to pass through this device? How is this accomplished? 3.) Please provide a proper block diagram. 4.) Please provide a proper operational description. 5.) Please provide a parts list 6.) Please provide a tune-up procedure. 7.) Internal photographs have external views mixed. Please take care in segregating internal and external photographs. 8.) The schematics are marginal. I will as a last resort accept, but I would appreciate better, clearer schematics. Can we have a copy that is not a scanned version? 9.) Contact information at the FCC website for Grantee code URF has Mr. Rick Youngbar listed as the FCC contact person. This is the only person authorized to sign Form 731 unless an Agent Authorization has been signed traceable back to Mr. Youngbar. 10.) No Confidentiality Request has been provided. If Confidentiality is requested for critical Exhibits such as Schematics, Block Diagram, Operational description, etc. you are reminded that either Mr. Youngbar or his designated agent is the only one authorized to sign. 11.) Please provide a chart of input vs. output power for both the uplink and downlink portion of this device. Please indicate the maximum design input power for each band. William H. Graff President and Director of Engineering mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 November 23, 2006 RE: Longent, LLC FCC ID: URFL800RDBS I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) This device is a Licensed radio transmitter. Therefore we must have a parts list and tune-up procedure. These can be included in any Confidentiality request letter at your option. 2.) This device is a bi-directional repeater. Therefore you should be presenting data for the 824- 849 MHz uplink and the 869-894 MHz downlink. You should also modify your Form 731 as appropriate. 3.) It does not appear that the device was completely disassembled for photographs. Unless I am mistaken there appear to be some circuitry which has been omitted. Please be so kind as to check and make sure all interior views are available. 4.) Complete contact information has not been provided on Form 731. 5.) The labeling is wrong for this device. The FCC logo in inappropriate, and the wrong statements are used on the label. Please refer to 15.19(a)(1) for correct language. 6.) An RF Exposure exhibit should be presented for this device. 7.) Please provide an Operational Description that really tells how the device operates from a circuit perspective. 8.) Please provide clear external photographs of any ports, coaxial connections or external controls for this device. 9.) You have requested only CDMA for this device. How will this device react to the reception of TDMA, AMPS or GSM signals which also occupy the 824-849 MHz Part 22 band? It is not apparent that only CDMA will be amplified by this device. 10.) This filing does not address RF Exposure issues. Please fix. 11.) It appears that intermodulation testing may be appropriate for this device. Can you please provide these results? 12.) Please provide a chart of input vs. output powers from -60dBm to maximum design value. 13.) Please provide a band edge emissions test at 824 and 849 MHz. William H. Graff President and Director of Engineering mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) The Operational Description provided is not what I was looking for. The document you supplied shows how the device is set up when installed. What I am looking for is a description of how the device actually creates, modulates, and amplifies an RF signal before exiting the antenna port. Please provide. 2.) Please view the revised Internal Photos, page 14. This is the most important circuit board in the entire product but there is no corresponding photo of the underside of this circuit board. Please provide. 3.) I do not find an answer to my question #1 of November 28, 2006. I take note of your attestation letter from Mr. Liu Quan Shun, but this note does not tell me how. Please elaborate and expand on your answer. The Manual indicates that the passband is programmable down to 0.5MHz To me this seems to indicate that this device may also be designed to accommodate GSM or narrowband signals. 4.) I do not find an answer to my question #2 of November 28, 2006. Please provide. 5.) Your revised 731 form is signed by Mr. Liu Quan Shun. This is also the same person signing the Confidentiality request letter. But the FCC database still shows Mr. Rick Youngbar. How do we know if Liu Quan Shun is truly authorized to sign any FCC related documents on behalf of Longent LLC? William H. Graff President and Director of Engineering mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application.
