Introduction Repeaters are used to fill out uncovered areas in cellular mobile systems, such as base station fringe areas, road tunnels, business and industrial buildings, etc. A repeater receives signals from a base station, amplifies and retransmits the signals to mobile stations. Also it receives, amplifies and retransmits signals in the opposite direction. Both directions are served simultaneously. To be able to receive and transmit signals in both directions, the repeater is connected to a donor antenna directed towards the base station and to a service antenna directed towards the area to be covered. American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 March 22, 2007 RE: Longent, LLC FCC ID: URFL800RDBS-A I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) Kindly provide an electronic block diagram for this device. What you have provided is some sort of an interconnect diagram. 2.) Why do I have a Part 15 DA-00-1407 modular approval letter? I am confused. 3.) Please review your Internal Photographs. It appears some views are missing. You are reminded that FCC wants top and bottom of all circuit boards with all RF shielding removed. The photos need to be clear and (ideally) one to a page. Please make them bigger. 4.) All Licensed transmitters need a Parts List. 5.) RF Exposure documents are missing. 6.) See Section 1.3 of your Test Report. Shouldn’t the diagram(s) provided resemble more what is provided in Section 2.2? 7.) Your uplink/downlink occupied BW plots for input and output should have a 30KHz RBW, not 100KHz. 8.) I cannot read the labeling for the connectors on this device on either the External Photos or inside the Manual. Please provide clearer external photos concentrating on the connectors. In addition, an additional photo of the top and bottom of this unit would be appreciated. 9.) FYI: Be careful – your Manual cannot contain information that is held Confidential elsewhere in the filing. 10.) Although not specifically required by the Rules, a graph of input power and resultant output power would be useful for both uplink and downlink sections. Please begin chart from -60dBm and increment in 10dB steps to maximum output power. William H. Graff President and Director of Engineering mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

Limits Limit <-13dBm 43 + 10Log(P) down on the carrier where P is the power in Watts. 5.4. Test Procedure In accordance with Part 2.1051, the spurious emissions from the antenna terminal were measured. The transmitter output power was attenuated using a combination of filters and attenuators and the frequency spectrum investigated from 9kHz to 10GHz. The EUT was set to transmit on full power. The resolution and video bandwidth was set to 1MHz in accordance with Part 22.917. The spectrum analyzer detector was set to Max Hold. In addition, measurements were made up to the 10 th harmonic of the fundamental. The EUT is placed on a turn table which is 1.5 meter above ground. The turn table can rotate 360 degrees to determine the position of the maximum emission level. The EUT was positioned such that the distance from antenna to the EUT was 3 meters. The antenna can move up and down between 1 meter and 4 meters to find out the maximum emission level. Both horizontal and vertical polarization of the antenna are set on measurement. In order to find the maximum emission, all of the interface cables must be manipulated according to TIA/EIA 603-A on radiated measurement. 5.5. Test Specification According to Part 2.1051, 2.1053, 22.917(a). Report No.: 073L006-HPUSP04V01 Page: 27 of 29 Version:1.0 5.6.
