Open the case by inserting a flat head screw driver into the groove below the keyring loop and gently prise case open. Remove the circuit board, taking care not to touch any components by handling only the edges of the board, then remove the batteries by prising them out from the retainers. Replace the batteries, avoiding direct handling, then replace the circuit board, casing, screw and label. Battery life is approximately 5 years. Battery replacement The token’s battery life is approximately 5 years The keyfob has been designed with features to extend battery life, these include a two second timeout once access has been granted and a capability to prevent repeated access to the same door whilst the keyfob remains in the field of the reader. Leaving the keyfob in the field of a reader will reduce battery life. FCC Compliance This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
