Franklin Pitchback Operating Instructions (for FCC approval process) 10/31/06 Power Unit Battery Installation 1. On the power unit, unscrew the battery door to access the battery compartment 2. Insert 8 'D' size batteries. Follow the polarity indications inside the compartment and be sure to install batteries as indicated. 3. Replace battery door and tighten the screw. NOTE: A DC jack is located on the main power unit for operating the unit with optional DC adapter. Remote Control Battery Installation 1. Unscrew the screw on the back of the remote . 2. Placing a coin between the slot provided on the side of remote control and twist to open the remote control. 3. Insert 3 pieces of CR-2016 battery. Remote Control Synchronization 1. The frequency between main unit and remote controller has been synchronized at the factory. However, if the remote does not work properly, please perform the following: 2. Install fresh batteries in the remote and power unit. 3. Press the Power button on the main unit so it is ON. The LED indicator will light. 4. PRESS and HOLD both Manual Up & Down buttons on the power unit simultaneously. While holding those buttons, PRESS either the Manual Up or Down button on the remote controller. 5. Release all buttons. 6. This procedure should synchronize the remote and the power unit. Operating the Unit NOTE: The unit can be operated either with the control buttons located on the side of the power unit or with the remote control. 1. Press the On/Off Power button on the power unit once. The LED indicator will light. 2. Press either Manual Up or Down button. The unit will move up, or down in 5 pre-programmed sections. 3. NOTE: The unit is equipped with an eight hour auto shut off timer; the unit will shut off automatically after eight hours in standby mode to conserve battery life. Auto/Random Mode 1. If the Auto/Random Mode button is pressed, the unit will automatically move up and down at random intervals approximately every 15 seconds. To stop the Auto/Random mode, press the Auto/Random button again. NOTE: The unit has a power save feature that automatically stops the Auto/Random mode after one hour of play and goes into standby mode. Simply press the Auto/Random button on the power unit or on the remote control if you wish to continue to use Auto/Random Mode. Operating the Unit with Remote Controller Press the On/Off Power button on the power unit once. The LED indicator will light. Using the remote, press either Manual Up or Down buttons on the remote to control to adjust the angle of the pitchback manually. Press the Auto/Random button on the remote control once to activate the Auto/Random mode. To stop the Auto/Random mode, press the Auto/Random button again. NOTE: When finished playing, remember to turn off the main unit by pressing the On/Off Power button on the main unit.
