BLUETOOTH RECEIVER (RX) FOR IPOD DOCKING SPEAKER iSkin CE-RX1000 USER GUIDE 1. Introduction Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while maintaining high levels of security. It is designed to communicate data/voice within short-range distance of 10m to 100m. Bluetooth technology has achieved global acceptance such that any Bluetooth enabled device, almost everywhere in the world, can connect to other Bluetooth enabled devices in proximity. A fundamental Bluetooth wireless technology strength is the ability to simultaneously handle both data and voice transmissions. This enables users to enjoy variety of innovative solutions such as a hands-free headset for voice calls, printing and fax capabilities, and synchronizing PDA, laptop, and mobile phone applications to name a few. 2. Package Contents RX for iPod docking speaker USB cable User Manual 4. Getting stared Remove all components from the package. Items in the package include: Bluetooth Receiver for iPod docking speaker, User manual, and USB cable. Please check the contents carefully and contact your local dealer immediately if there is any shortage. 5. Getting to know the Rx This Bluetooth Tx for iPod offers the latest innovation in Bluetooth technology. As docking on the iPod docking speaker, it can receive audio from Apple iPod with Bluetooth Transmitter for iPod wirelessly. As a kind of easy control product, Rx will finish searching, pairing, and connecting by itself automatically. User just needs to plug into iPod docking speaker to start the operation. 6. Application for Rx + Bluetooth Devices or Bluetooth Rx for Non-Bluetooth device with Bluetooth Tx iPod docking speaker iPod docking Speaker 7. Pair Rx on iPod docking speaker to your iPod with Tx Pairing is the process of linking the Rx with your Bluetooth Audio devices iPod with Bluetooth Tx. Before you using the Rx on iPod docking speaker, you should pair both devices. After pairing completed, you should use the Rx only with the paired Bluetooth Transmitter or Bluetooth devices. If you want to use Rx with a different Bluetooth Tx or Bluetooth devices, you need to redo the pairing process with the new devices. In this case, the Rx will no longer work with the previous Bluetooth Tx or Bluetooth devices To pair the Bluetooth Devices or Bluetooth Tx 1. Plug into the iPod docking speaker, the white LED will flash in fast speed. It is in paring mode. 2. Turn on the Bluetooth devices and search the Bluetooth Rx (See the user manual of the Bluetooth devices), or turn on non-Bluetooth Audio device and connect with Bluetooth Tx, make sure Tx in pairing Mode. 3. If the Rx is paired with the Bluetooth devices or Bluetooth Txt, the LED will flash in slow speed again. Tips: Please make sure the pin code of Bluetooth Tx which is connected with Audio devices is “0000”. Otherwise, the Rx will not pair with it. For this part, Please refer the Bluetooth Tx venders. 8. Troubleshooting 1. Please note that you should also be familiar with the operation of your Bluetooth devices / Bluetooth Tx. 2. Please read you Bluetooth devices / Bluetooth Tx user guide carefully. 3. Please note that the Rx will only work with Bluetooth devices / Bluetooth Tx with support the Bluetooth AV profiles. Tips: If disconnection or lost link occurs, it maybe due to the following reason. 1. The range is over 10 meters between both Bluetooth devices / Bluetooth Tx and Rx. (Please keep the distance within 10 meters) 2. Bluetooth devices / Bluetooth Tx with Rx will be disconnected the link for some certain condition. 11. Warranty z This warranty lasts for one year from the date of purchase of the products. z This warranty extends to you only if you are the end users with the original purchase receipt. z We will, at our option, repair or replace the products that do not conform to the warranty. z The manufacturer or the seller shall not be liable for any incidental consequence or damages by the end users. z This warranty gives you specific legal right.
