We are seeking limited modular approval since we, the grantee, will be the only party using the CPB250. This device meets the requirements as a modular device stated in public notice KDB 996369 and summarized below: 1. This modular transmitter has its own RF shielding and will not rely upon the shielding provided by the host into which it is installed in order for all modular transmitter emissions to comply with Part 15 limits, nor will it cause any coupling between the RF circuitry of the module and any wires or circuits in the device into which the module is installed. a. The CBP250 module RF elements are fully shielded. Please refer to external photo submissions. 2. This modular transmitter has buffered input data according the definition of KDB 996369 and complies with Part 15.212 requirements under conditions of excessive data rates or over-modulation. a. The module chipset integrates buffered I/O. USB data interface is compatible with USB Revision 2.0. 3. The modular transmitter has its own power supply regulation to ensure compliance with Part 15.212 requirements regardless of the design of the power supplying circuitry in the host device into which the module is installed. a. The transmitter power supply is internally regulated. 4. This modular transmitter complies with the antenna requirements of FCC rule Tile 47 Section 15.203 and 15.204(c). The antenna is permanently attached. a. The CPB250 module does not have an affixed antenna. Limits for antenna parameters to remain in compliance with FCC requirements are provided in the User Manual. 5. This modular transmitter is tested in a "stand-alone" configuration and not inside any hosting device to ensure compliance with Part 15 emission limits regardless of the host device into which it is eventually installed. All accessories, peripherals, or support equipment connected to the module during testing are unmodified or commercially available. a. UUT conformance testing was measured in a standalone configuration. Typically standalone testing is performed using a PC as the host device. Testing of the CPB250 module, was performed using a CradlePoint Inc. wired access point (model name: CBA750) as the host device rather than a PC. For this testing, the CPB250 module was installed in a CradlePoint Inc. MC100W which uses an ABS/PC plastic enclosure that has no shielding. The MC100W provides an interface from the CPB250 to the USB port of the host. 6. This modular transmitter will be labeled with its own FCC ID number. In the event that the module is installed inside a host device and the FCC ID of the module is not visible the host device will display a label referring to the FCC ID of the enclosed module. We the grantee will either provide such a label to the integrator or instructions explaining this requirement. A copy of these instructions will be included in this application for equipment authorization. a. Please refer to FCC ID label format.
