Users Manual

THE EZ-FIND INSTRUCTION MANUAL Welcome to the EZ-Find System. Congratulations on your purchase of the EZ-Find wireless electronic locator. This system will help you locate misplaced items and will help prevent you from losing them in the first place. FCC Statement 1. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1). This device may not cause harmful interference. (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. 2. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. STEP 1: SETTING UP YOUR EZ-FIND SYSTEM Install batteries (not included) in the EZ-Finder 1. Grasp the upper back section of the EZ-Finder and firmly pull down to access the battery compartment. 2. Install 3 AAA batteries into the EZ-Finder. Be sure the polarity (+/-) of the battery matches the directions in the compartment. 3. Replace battery cover. STEP 2: PROGRAMMING YOUR EZ-FIND TAGS 1. Turn the EZ-Finder on by pressing and holding the FIND button. EZ-Find will be displayed on the LED screen. 2. Press Find again to view menu. 3. The item β€œ1” on the menu will be displayed. 4. Take one of the EZ-Find tags provided in the starter kit or sold separately and turn the tag on by switching the ON/OFF position on the side of the tag to the β€œon” position by using a paper clip. The tag will beep once and is now in program mode. 5. Press the FIND button and the EZ-Find Tag will beep 3 times and may keep beeping, indicating it has received its identity. 6. The EZ-Find tag is now item β€œ1” on your EZ-Finder menu. 7. Repeat for as many tags as you choose. 8. It is recommended that you place a number label (included) on each EZ-Find tag as it is programmed. STEP 3: ATTACHING EZ-Find Tags Adhesive strips and key rings are available to attach EZ-Find tags to items you wish to keep track of Four adhesive strips and Four key rings are included in this starter kit. To use the adhesive strips: 1. Adhesive strips are best used on a flat surface. Remove paper cover from one side of one of the double side adhesive strips. Place sticky side in center of the recessed cavity of an EZ-Find tag. Press firmly for five minutes. 2. Remove cover from other side of the adhesive. 3. Press firmly against the item you want to track. 4. Leave on for 15 minutes (ideally for 24 hours) before using. 5. To remove adhesive, place a flat tool under the adhesive, gently twist and pry off. To use the key ring loops: 1. attach key ring loop to keys, pet collars, belts, purses, etc...Push the key ring loop through the hole on the comer of the EZ-Find tag. Tag Number labels(Included in this package): You may want to place number label on each tag to keep track of the tags that you have programmed into the EZ-Finder. STEP 4: FINDING LOST ITEMS (switch places with step 3) 1. Turn EZ-Finder ON by pressing and holding the FIND button. 2. Press FIND button again to go to the menu screen. 3. Scroll up or down to item you want to find. 4. Press the FIND button. A series of audible beeps will sound if tagged item is within range (approximately 60 feet) 5. If no beep is heard, walk around with the EZ-Finder while continuously pressing the FIND button until item is located. 6. You can turn the EZ-Finder off once the item is found by pressing the β€œE” button for two seconds or the EZ-Finder will automatically turn itself off after 5 minutes. 7. If the lost item cannot be located it may be due to: --Lost item is out of range. --The incorrect item in the menu was pressed. --The EZ-Find tag has weak batteries. --The EZ-finder has weak batteries.

Operational Description

TX Operation Description (Finder) Transmit Frequency : 433.92MHz Modulation Type : ASK Press Key β€˜FIND’ hold for some time, the device goes into working mode. Backlight is on. And press key β€˜FIND’ once again, IC4 is RF Module oscillator with 433.92MHz. IC2 is memory. IC1 is MCU and LCD display drive. Pin 9 of IC1 output data signals to RF Module and transmits out. At the same time, Pin10 of IC1 control the Q1. When pin10 is zero level, the Q1 is off, and the backlight is not working; when pin10 is one level, the Q1 is on, and the backlight is working. Without operation for 10s, the device automatically goes in stand by mode, and the LCD is not display.
