LGT201TX/RX RADIO FREQUENCY REMOTE WITH SIMPLE STRUCTURE FOR GAS FIREPLACE USER MANUAL 1. Introduction of Functions - This RF Remote Control System is for Gas fireplace operations. It consists of a transmitter and a receiver. - The system turns the Flame ON /OFF. - The system turns the Fire crackle Sound ON/OFF. Transmitter: - There is a Childproof lock-out for all the transmitter keys. - The battery cover has a Childproof design. - User can program the address code on the transmitter. The code range is 1-250. Receiver : - can trun ON/OFF Millivolt valve or 24 volt valve - can turn ON/OFF Fire crackle Sound System (external CF6) - address code learn function (1 to 250) - has over-heat shut down protection - operates on 4-AA batteries 2. Specifications RF carrier 433.92MHz Transmitter power 2 AA alkaline batteries for approximately one year of service. Receiver power 4 AA alkaline batteries for approximately one year of service. Temperature range for transmitter operation: 0-40°C Temperature range for receiver operation: 0-70°C Receiver over-heat protection temperature: 65±5°C Remote range Not less than 8 meters (20 feet). Receiver output control ON/OFF Millivolt volt or 24 volt valves ON/OFF Firecrackler sound device (External CF6) 3. Transmitter Operations 3.1 Battery installation Remove the screw from the battery cover on the rear side of the transmitter, open the cover, and insert 2 AA alkaline batteries Into battery holder. 3.2 Flame ON/OFF Press ON/OFF key to control the flame ON/OFF, and the LED will light while transmits 3.3 SOUND When flame is in ON position, SOUND ON/OFF key turns ON/OFF the Fire crackle device. 3.4 CHILD LOCK To lock press both OFF and SOUND OFF keys, and LED flickers in 3 seconds indicating the remote control is locked. To unlock, press both OFF and SOUND OFF keys and LED regularly lights in 3 seconds indicating the remote is unlocked. 3.5 CHANGING ADDRESS To avoid inferences of two remote control systems of same model in one household, one of them needs to change its address code. Press both ON and SOUND ON keys, and LED will flicker in 5 seconds, and the address code increases one at each time LED flickers. The code range is 1-250. 4 Receiver Installation / Functions 4.1 Connect the Valve and Fire crackle Sound Device. Make sure that the slide switch of the receiver is in OFF position. Connect the flame control wires (red and white) of the receiver to the valve and sound control wires (blue and black) to Fire crackle Sound device. 4.2 Install Batteries Press the small square button below the battery holder of the receiver, open the battery holder, insert 4- AA alkaline batteries, and install the battery holder back into receiver. ON OFF RF Transmission Indicate ON Remote Control OFF Remote Control Fire Crackle Sound ON Fire Crackle Sound OFF SOUND ON OFF 4.3 OFF When the slide switch of receiver is in OFF position, receiver turns off FLAME and SOUND of the fireplace. Receiver will not respond to any remote signal from the transmitter. 4.4 ON Turn the slide switch of receiver to ON position, and receiver turns on FLAME and SOUND of fireplace. The receiver will not respond to any remote signal from the transmitter in ON. 4.5 REMOTE Turn the slide switch of receiver to REMOTE position and the receiver will respond to remote signals from transmitter. Transmitter turns ON/OFF Flame and Sound. Receiver will respond with Beep upon receipt of RF remote signals. Flame and Sound of fireplace is then controlled by the transmitter. 4.6 Learn address code If receiver fails to respond to RF remote signals of the transmitter or the address code of the transmitter has been changed (see 3.5), the receiver needs to relearn the address code. Make sure receiver is in REMOTE position, press LEARN CODE hole of the receiver with a pen tip, (LOW BATTERY indicator will light), and at the same time press ON or OFF key of the transmitter. Receiver will respond to RF remote signals of the transmitter with Beep indicating it has learned the address code and the system is ready for proper operation. 4.7 Over-heat protection When ambient temperature of receiver exceeds 60 °C, the Flame will turn off automatically to protect the PCB and batteries. 4.8 Low Battery New batteries have approximately one year service time. Flashing of LOW BATTERY indicator means batteries need replacement. 4.9 Manual slide switch When the battery voltage is too low for remote control function, the manual slide switch can be used to turn the fire and Sound ON/OFF. Make sure to turn receiver slide switch to OFF during long time absence from the premises. NOTE: THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH PART 15 OF THE FCC RULES. OPERATION IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TWO CONDITIONS: (1)THIS DEVICE MAY NOT CAUSE HARMFUL INTERFERENCE AND (2)THIS DEVICE MUST ACCEPT ANY INTERFERENCE RECEIVED,INCLUDING INTERFERENCE THAT MAY CAUSE UNDESIRED OPERATION.
