4 Product overview The Bluetooth Stereo Headset is composed of: 1.MF Button ( ) 2.Microphone( ) 3.Charging Jack( ) 4.Speaker( ) 5.Earhook( ) 6.Indicator Light( ) 7.Previous Song/Volume (-) Button( ) 8.Next Song/Volume (+) Button( ) Charging the headset Your headset uses a rechargeable battery. You must charge the battery fully before using the headset for the first time. Please make sure to turn off the headset before charging. 1. Plugging the charging cradle in the port. 2. The red indicator light remains solid when charging. 3. The fully charging takes approximately2-3 hours. 4. The indicator light is in solid blue when charging completed. How to turning on/off: Turn on:Press the MF button until you hear the beep and the blue indicator light flashes. Turn off: Press the MF button until you hear the beep and the blue indicator light flashes twice. Redialing the previous call Press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds until you hear a long beep. Answering a call When you hear the ring tone, press the MF button once If you prefer answering the call by your phone, you can transfer the call from the headset on your phone. Ending a call Press and release the MF button once or end call on your phone's keypad. Answering or rejecting a call when listening to music If there is ring tone of incoming call when you are listening to music from your phone or PC or other Bluetooth enabled devices, press the MF button to answer the call and press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds to reject the call. Pause or put a call on hold During the phone call, just press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds to put a call on hold. If you want to resume to the call, you can also press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds. (This is subject to the mobile phone's feature.) Volume control Press and hold the Volume Control (+) to increase volume and release when it reaches your preferred volume. Vice versa! 5 Pairing with your Bluetooth phone 1. The distance between the Bluetooth headset and your Bluetooth phone would be better within 1 meter when pairing, the closer the better. 2. Ensuring the headset is off. 3. Pressing still the Multifunctional Button until you see the blue light remains solid. 4. Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the headset by following your phone's guide. Typically, the steps involved are going to a "Setup" "Connect" or "Bluetooth" menu on your phone and then select the option to discover Blueto- oth devices. 5. Your phone will find the headset and ask if you want to pair with it. Confirming this by pressing “yes” or “ok”. 6.Enter passkey “0000”, then press “yes” or “ok”. IMPORTANT:If pairing is successful, the indicator light will flash in blue 10 times rapidly before going to flashing every 3 seconds, If unsuccessful, the light remains on, and you will need to reattempt the pairing. While the light will go out if the pairing time takes more than 60 seconds, in that case, you need to turn off the headset and turn it on for pairing again. Circuit Description Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology. The design applied is in internationalidentification ISM (Industrial Scientific and Medical) frequency bandwidth environment that is2.4GHz~2.48GHz bandwidth. TheR9Bluetooth Headset is a wirelessstereoheadset manufactured with the Latest Bluetoothtechnology, complied Bluetooth specification v2.0. Within a range of 10 meters, R9Bluetoothheadset can connect to other Bluetooth devices which have built-in audio gateway, such as MobilePhone, Desktop, Notebook Computer or PDA etc.. The Headset consists of the Changer Circuit, 1.8V Switched mode Regulator, Bluetooth HeadsetModule IS1601G, Audio Speaker Circuit, Microphone Bias, Status indicating LED and ThreeMultifunctionButtons for power on/off, pairing, call control, Volume Control etc. Charger Circuit The Headset are often powered internally using a 3.7 volt Lithium-ion Polymer with short circuitprotection and a capacity of 120mAh, The battery charger is based on theU2, U2 has a VCC input forthe power source from an external5.0~5.5volt DC supply. An output to the battery, Battery volt is forMicrophone Bias circuit and Bluetooth Module power 1.8V DC/DC circuit. Bluetooth module IS1601G The IC/CPU is a Class 2 Bluetooth sub-system using BlueCore2-Headset ROM chipset fromleading Bluetooth chipset supplier ISSC with a maximal output power of less than 4dBm. The moduleblock includes Bluecore02 IC, EEPROM, Band pass Filter and Crystal for clock. The RF circuit includes the antenna matching components and a ceramic antenna welded in the circuitboard. The crystal provides the whole circuit the standard reference frequency of 16MHz. There is no externalground connection.Theground is only that of the printed circuit board. Switched mode 1.8 Volt regulator For optimum efficiency, a switch mode power supply provides the 1.8V for digital, analogue and RFportions of the device.
