CAUTION – Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, may result in minor/moderate injury or product/property damage. It also alerts against unsafe practices. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE. WARNING- To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or serious personal injury: CAUTION- To reduce the risk of personal injury or product/property damage: • This product is intended for non-commercial household use in humidify- ing the air. Do not use the product for any other purpose. • Keep the product out of the reach of children and pets. This product is not intended for use by children. • Do not leave the product unattended while it is in use. Always unplug the product from the electrical outlet when it is not in use. • Always make sure the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before relocating, servicing, or cleaning it. • Always place the product on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. • Never block the air openings of the product or place it on a soft surface (e.g., a bed, couch, or car seat) where the air openings may be blocked. Wipe the air openings clean if they become clogged. Failure to keep the air openings clean and free of blockage may deny the product airflow. • Do not place or store the product where it can fall, or be pulled into a tub or sink. If the product falls into water, immediately unplug it from the electrical outlet. Do not touch or reach into the water. • Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by the product manufacturer. • Do not operate this product if the Power Cord is cut, damaged, or if the wires are exposed. • Do not immerse the Power Cord or plug in, or expose them to, water or other liquids. • Do not plug the product into, or unplug it from, an electrical outlet while your hands are wet. • To disconnect the product from an electrical outlet, pull directly on the plug; do not pull on the Power Cord. • Do not put any stress on the Power Cord where it connects to the item, as the Power Cord could fray and break. • Never operate this product if it has a damaged Power Cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, or exposed to water or other liquids. Do not attempt to examine or repair this product yourself. Take the product to the appliance repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair. • Do not place the product in areas or on surfaces (e.g., carpets) that may be damaged by water or moisture. The user is solely and exclu- sively liable for any and all damage that may occur from water- related mishaps that occur during use of this product. • Do not place the product in direct sunlight. • Use only distilled or softened water. Minerals in tap water (hard water) may cause a “white dust” to appear on furnishings. • Do not add medications, chemicals, ointments, oils, or any other additives or substances to the water. WARNING: This product is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other blade) to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This is a safety feature. The plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless you can fully insert the plug into the extension cord. Do not alter the plug. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polar- ized plug. Specifications Troubleshooting C US ! ! ProblemsPossible CauseSolution Power on/off knob is turned to “ON”, and the Power Indicator is off • Unit is not plugged in • No power at AC outlet • No water inside tank • Device is not placed on a level surface • Mineral deposits on the water sensor/transducers • Water tank is cleaned with detergent • No connection to blower • Hard water/soft water content is too high • Improper placement of rubber ring on tank cap • Loose cap • Refilled with hot water • Hard water used Little or no mist output Water leakage White dust accumulation (caused by suspension of minerals in water and not due to a defect in the humidifier) • Fill the water tank • Place unit on a level surface • Clean the water sensor/transducers as stated in instructions • Rinse the tank with clean water thoroughly, and wipe dry • Make sure the water at the unit base is enough to immerse water sensor • Reposition the rubber ring • Tighten the cap again • Refill with cool distilled or filtered tap water • Switch to distilled or filtered tap water • Plug unit in • Check the circuits, try a different AC outlet Note: Depending on constant or occasional use, clean the device on a weekly or daily basis. Failure to keep unit clean from mineral deposits in the water supply will result in poor efficiency of the unit. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE Parts To Use 1. Before using, clean the humidifier Base and the water tank with a soft, non-abrasive, slightly damp cloth. 2. Do not place the humidifier on wooden furniture or other surfaces that can be damaged by water. Place the unit on a flat and stable surface. The humidifier should be approximately four inches away from walls and on a waterproof surface. 3. Do not plug in yet. Gently remove the Lid that contains the Variable Mist Control Knob. 4.
