Getting Started 1.1 Features The REB215 extension board is a template design for the AT86RF215. 1.2 Design Documentation and Related Links The most recent and relevant documents and software for the REB215-Xpro extension board 1 . 1.3 Board Assembly The extension board provides wireless communication to an Xplained PRO board or to your own prototype for software development and hardware verification. 1.3.1 Connect to a Xplained Pro Board The extension board can be connected to any Xplained PRO main board using the extension header. 1.3.2 In Customer Development Assembly The extension board can be wired into the customer prototype assembly by using an on-board connectors, all relevant signals are available at on-board connectors. 1 http://www.atmel.com/tools/reb215-xpro.aspx REB215-XPRO Extension Board [USER GUIDE] 42398AX-MCU-03/2015 4 DRAFT 2. Performance Analyzer 2.1 Introduction The Performance Analyzer Firmware with the GUI in Atmel Studio Wireless Composer Extension provides basic functional RF tests. A quick start guide and general help is provided in Wireless Composer once started. 2.2 Program Installation How to install Wireless Composer application, follow the steps: 1. Install Atmel Studio 1 . 2. After installing the application, launch Atmel Studio. Click download. If Xplained Pro board is not pre-programmed - program the board with the Performance Analyzer Firmware available in the "Wireless Performance Analyzer Firmware extension" or from source code provided in ASF by using the EDBG from Atmel studio. The EUT meets the requirement for modular approval as detailed in FCC Public Notice DA 00-1407. Compliance to each of the requirements is described below: 1. The modular transmitter has no RF shielding. 2. The modular transmitter has buffered modulation/data inputs, Buffered data inputs stage has been integrated in chip (Model: AT86RF215). 3. The modular transmitter has its own power supply regulation. (DC3.3V supplied by system.) 4. Comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204(c), the module has one 2.4GHz rubber stubby antenna with RP-SMA female straight and the antenna gain is 0 dBi. 5. The modular transmitter has been tested in configuration with test jig and then confirmed the compliance. 6. “The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number.”Please see exhibition label sample for the FCC ID of this module . And also in the exhibition user manual, there are instructions give to the OEM on how to label the end product. . 7. Comply with any specific rules or operating requirements that ordinarily apply to a complete transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. The necessary explanation to be complied with this requirement is contained in the user manual, and please refers to the user manual. 8.
