If the is incorporated into a product, the manufacturer must ensure compliance of the final product to the European harmonized EMC and low-voltage/safety standards. A Declaration of Conformity must be issued for each of these standards and kept on file as described in Annex II of the R&TTE Directive. Furthermore, the manufacturer must maintain a copy of the LPZM3 Module documentation and ensure the final product does not exceed the specified power ratings, antenna specifications, and/or installation requirements as specified in the user manual. If any of these specifications are exceeded in the final product, a submission must be made to a notified body for compliance testing to all required standards. IMPORTANT: The 'CE' marking must be affixed to a visible location on the OEM product. The CE mark shall consist of the initials "CE" taking the following form: LPZM3 Module If the CE marking is reduced or enlarged, the proportions given in the above graduated drawing must be respected. The CE marking must have a height of at least 5mm except where this is not possible on account of the nature of the apparatus. The CE marking must be affixed visibly, legibly, and indelibly. This letter is our application for such according to FCC Part 15.212. Modular Transmitter Requirements Manufacturer Clarification 1. The radio elements must have the radio frequency circuitry shielded. Physical components and tuning capacitor(s) may be located external to the shield, but must be on the module assembly A shield is provided on the module. 2. The module must have buffered modulation/data inputs to ensure that the device will comply with Part 15 requirements with any type of input signal Signals are directly connected to the EM357 SoC which has buffered I/O ports. 3. The module must contain power supply regulation on the module The module generates 1v8 for RF circuitry 4. The module must contain a permanently attached antenna, or contain a unique antenna connector, and be marketed and operated only with specific antenna(s), per Sections 15.203, 15.204(b), 15.204(c), 15.212(a), 2.929(b) The module has a PCB trace antenna with no external antenna options. 5. The module must demonstrate compliance in a stand-alone configuration The module was mounted on a bare carrier PCB for test purposes. Only power was supplied via the carrier PCB. 6. The module must be labelled with its permanently affixed FCC ID label, or use an electronic display FCC ID number is clearly shown on module. 7. The module must comply with all specific rules applicable to the transmitter. The grantee must provide comprehensive instructions to explain compliance requirements Module is shown to be compliant with 15.247 of the rules. 8.
