The ASEDrive DI NFC reads virtually any con- tact smart card and 13.56 Mhz contactless cards The Athena ASEDrive DI NFC is designed for easy operation by the end user looking for a Dual Interface desktop smart card reader and is opti- mized for a wide variety of Smart card applica- tions where high speed is essential such as Na- tional ID CARDS and PKI operations. The Contactless interface supports fast contactless transmissions up to 848 Kbps in ISO 14443 A/B mode , with the Contact interface, based on Athena’s ASEDrive IIIe USB V3C Smart Card Reader that supports multiple smart card protocols under the PC/SC API, with a CCID Interface, utilizing the USB Full speed connection to increase reliability, communication speed and ease of operation. The ASEDrive DI NFC is a CCID based smart card reader making it a true Plug and Play device, making ideal for mass deployments where Web SSL, Digital Sig- nature, Windows logon, VPN, etc services are required. Location of the Test Site: Preliminary radiated test was conducted at the EMC laboratory of the Standards Institution of Israel in Tel-Aviv. The final radiated emission test was conducted in an Open Area Test Site located at Kibbutz Native Halamed Hai in Emek HaEla, Israel. 3.2. Test condition: Temperature: 22C. Humidity: 46 %. Atmospheric pressure: 1010 mbar. 3.3. Changes of EUT during the test: During the RE tests ferrite mfr. "Wurth Electronik" p/n 742 711 11S was added on USB cable at distance 5cm from transmitter plastic cage. General: Per FCC Part 15 subpart C Section 15.225, 15.209 and subpart B Section 15.109.  Initial scans were made using a peak detector but still using the appropriate ANSI IF bandwidth.  A tolerance limit was set 10 dB below the specification limit. Levels above the tolerance limit were retested using the Peak and Q. Peak detector. 3.4.2. Preliminary radiated emission tests: Preliminary investigation measurements were performed up to tenth harmonic of fundamental in a semi-anechoic chamber at distance 3 meter.
