Regulatory Compliance Notice USA‐Federal Communications Commission (FCC) FCC Radio-Frequency Exposure & Approval conditions: FCC ID: Y7A-P18450 IC ID: 10226A-P18450 1) Only those antennas filed under FCC ID: Y7A-P18450 can be used with this device. The device was approved with Laird Technologies antenna model MAF95282. The antenna is a Flex PCB printed dipole antenna with a Peak Gain of 5dBi for 2.45GHz Band. The antenna utilizes a MHF RF connector. Only the same type and equal or lesser gain antenna may be used with the device. 2) The final system integrator must ensure there is no instruction provided in the user manual or customer documentation indicating how to install or remove the transmitter module. 3) The regulatory label on the host system must include the FCC statement: “Contains FCC ID: Y7A-P18450”. 4) The regulatory label on the host system must include the IC statement: “Contains IC ID: 10226A-P18450”. 5) The transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. 2. Regulatory Compliance Statement User Manual A user manual or instruction manual must be included with the customer product and contain by law the following compliance statements: 1) FCC Compliance Statement: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Caution: Any changes or modification cautions to this device not explicitly approved by manufacturer could void your authority to operate this equipment. 2) Canada- Industry Canada (IC): This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device." Maximum Tx power is 6.561 mW EIRP. Conclusion: No SAR is required. Simultaneous transmission occurs between BT and WLAN. Per FCC KDB 447498 D01 Mobile Portable RF Exposure, 3) (c) requirement, if the output power is ≤ 60/f(GHz) mW for any simultaneous transmitting antenna(s) for which stand-alone SAR evaluation is not required. So since both the output power of BT and WLAN are ≤ 60/f(GHz) mW, then the SAR for simultaneous transmission is not required.
