Type of Confidentiality Requested Exhibit Short Term Permanent Block Diagrams Short Term External Photos Short Term Permanent* 1 Internal Photos (EUT is not accessible to general public) Short Term Permanent Operation Description/Theory of Operation Short Term Permanent Parts List & Placement/BOM Short Term Permanent Tune-Up Procedure Short Term Permanent Schematics Short Term Test Setup Photos Short Term Permanent* User’s Manual *Note: ______(Insert Explanation as Necessary)______ ALLIGATOR Ventilfabrik GmbH has spent substantial effort in developing this product and it is one of the first of its kind in industry. Having the subject information easily available to "competition" would negate the advantage they have achieved by developing this product. Not protecting the details of the design will result in financial hardship. Permanent Confidentiality: The applicant requests the exhibits listed above as permanently confidential be permanently withheld from public review due to materials that contain trade secrets and proprietary information not customarily released to the public. Short-Term Confidentiality: The applicant requests the exhibits selected above as short term confidential be withheld from public view for a period of (0) days from the date of the Grant of Equipment Authorization and prior to marketing. This is to avoid premature release of sensitive information prior to marketing or release of the product to the public. Applicant is also aware that they are responsible to notify ACB in the event information regarding the product or the product is made available to the public. ACB will then release the documents listed above for public disclosure pursuant to FCC Public Notice DA 04-1705. NOTE for Industry Canada Applications: The applicant understands that until such time that IC distinguishes between Short Term and Permanent Confidentiality, either type of marked exhibit above will simply be marked Confidential when submitted to IC. Sincerely, By: Manager Certification Thomas Ring 1 - The asterisked items (*) require further justification before permanent confidentiality will be allowed. These also currently require review by the FCC under their Permit-But-Ask policy before the grant is issued and can delay completion of an application. Further justification should be added to the note above. One such example for a potted device would be: “The EUT is FULLY potted using a non-removable epoxy based material. Removal of potting material causes irreparable damage to internal circuitry. See photographs exhibits that outline the device before and after potting.”
American Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, Suite C110, McLean, VA 22101, USA TCB: Please note that justification is required for internal photos to be held confidential. Here is a list of conditions under which internal photos may be held confidential. Please note which one of these applies and provide a declaration/explanation of how the requirement is met: a. Internal photos of a consumer device may be held confidential when the circuit board is enclosed in epoxy or in a material that would destroy the circuit board if removed. b. Internal photos of a consumer device may be held confidential if the device is sealed and disassembly would destroy the product. c. Internal photos can also be held confidential if a non-consumer device is inaccessible to the general public, such as a device mounted on the top of a large tower (or in a fenced enclosure) that is only serviceable by the licensee or his designated technicians. Applicant: The EUT is built into a car. It is not visible to general public as mentioned in the confidentiality request letter. The same confidential procedure was used in the certification with FCC ID: YMY030152 in 2011.

No. 1.1, 05.11.2008 5.2 Field strength of the fundamental wave For test instruments and accessories used see section 6 Part CPR 2. 5.2.1 Description of the test location Test location: OATS1 Test distance: 3 metres 5.2.2 Photo documentation of the test set-up 5.2.1 Applicable standard According to FCC Part 15C, Section 15.231(e): The field strength of emissions from intentional radiators shall not exceed the effective field strength limits. 5.2.2 Description of Measurement The radiated power of the fundamental wave from the EUT is measured in the frequency range of 30 to 1000 MHz using a tuned receiver and appropriate broadband linearly polarized antennas. Measurements between 30 MHz and 1000 MHz are made with 120 kHz/6 dB bandwidth and quasi-peak detection. Table top equipment is placed on a 1.0 X 1.5 metres non-conducting table 80 centimetres above the ground plane. Floor standing equipment is placed directly on the turntable/ground plane. The set up of the EUT will be in accordance to ANSI C63.4. The Interface cables that are closer than 40 centimetres to the ground plane are bundled in the centre in a serpentine fashion so they are at least 40 centimetres from the ground plane. Cables to simulators/testers (if used in this test) are routed through the centre of the table and to a screen room located outside the test area. The antenna was positioned 3, 10 or 30 metres horizontally from the EUT. To locate maximum emissions from the test sample the antenna is varied in height from 1 to 4 metres, measurement scans are made in horizontal and vertical antenna polarization’s and the EUT is rotated 360 degrees. The resolution bandwidth during the measurement is as follows: 30 MHz – 1000 MHz: RBW: 120 kHz FCC ID: YMY030164 mikes-testingpartners gmbh File No. T36350-00-04HU, page 12 of 33 Ohmstrasse 2-4 94342 STRASSKIRCHEN GERMANY Tel.:+49(0)9424-94810 Fax: +49(0)9424-9481240 Rev. The set up of the Equipment under test will be in accordance to ANSI C63.4. The antenna was positioned 3, 10 or 30 meters horizontally from the EUT. Measurements have been made in all three orthogonal axes and the shielded loop antenna was rotated to locate the maximum of the emissions. In the case where larger measuring distances are required the results will extrapolated based on the values measured on the closer distances according to Section 15.31(f)(2)(2). The final measurement will be performed with an EMI Receiver set to Quasi Peak detector except for the frequency bands 9 kHz to 90 kHz and 110 to 490 kHz where an average detector will be used according to Section 15.209(d)(2).
