MyE Smart Remote TM User Guide MyEnergy Domain, Inc Version 1.0 Smart Remote 2  1. Keys ① Time/Temperature and humidity ② AC system mode ③ AC set-point UP ④ AC set-point DOWN ⑤ AC ON/OFF ⑥ Backlight ON/OFF ① Time/Temperature and humidity Toggle between two displaying modes: time display mode, or temperature and humidity display mode. The default mode is the time display mode. ② AC system mode Toggle among “Auto” (with a sun & snowflake icon), “Cool” (with a snowflake icon), “Heat” (with a sun icon), “Dehumidify” (with a water drop icon), “Fan only” (without any icon). ③ AC set-point UP Raise the AC set-point by 1C. ④ AC set-point DOWN Lower the AC set-point by 1C. 2 1 3 4 6 5 Smart Remote 3 ⑤ AC ON/OFF 1. Toggle between AC ON and AC OFF. 2. During the network forming, this key acts as a confirmation to join the HAN (home area network) formed by the smart home gateway. ⑥ Backlight ON/OFF Toggle between backlight ON and OFF. ②+⑤ HAN Search Press these two keys together re-initiate the search for HAN (home area network) formed by smart home gateways. If the Smart Remote is already in a HAN before this operation, it will exit that HAN first and start a new search. 2. Setup 2.1 Smart Home Gateway (1) Connect the smart home gateway with the included AC adapter to a power source. (2)Connect the smart home gateway with an Ethernet cable to a home internet router. Controls As the smart remote controls home devices (such as TV, audio, automated curtain, etc) via infrared signal, you need to go through a step to secure the IR coding of the devices before you can control them. Different types of IR-controllable devices use different IR coding. An online guide will walk you through the setup of the IR coding for devices you would like to control. Add Device On the page of “Smart-ups”,click “Add Device”. A setup guide will appear as shown below. Specify a smart remote through which the device is to be controlled. Finish other items, and click “Next”. The next step is to learn the IR coding of the buttons on the original remote of your device. In most cases, you only need to learn two buttons: ON and OFF. Smart Remote 5 Click a button in the figure above to record its corresponding IR coding, and a dialog box as shown below will pop up. Click “Record”. A display of “Lr ――” will start flashing on the LCD, waiting for you to point your original remote to the Smart Remote and press the button of the function you’d like to record. Once you press the button on your original remote, the Smart Remote will record it and upload the IR coding to the server. You can verify if the IR coding has been learned correctly. Controls On the page of “Smart-ups”,click the icon of the device you want to control to bring up the control panel. Click the button which represents the function you would like the device to operate on, and the device will be set to the corresponding operation mode. FCC Statement. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential inst allation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not inst alled and used in accordance with the instructions, may ca use harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. -Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. The users manual or instruction manual for an intentional or unintentional radiator shall caution the user that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. In cases where the manual is provided only in a form other than paper, such as on a computer disk or over the Internet, the information required by this section may be included in the manual in that alternative form, provided the user can reasonably be expected to have the capability to access information in that form.
