WARNING โ€“ Device contains non-rechargeable Lithium Metal battery. Misusing or mishandling lithium can pose a serious risk of personal injury, property damage, or both. Protect batteries from damage and extreme heat conditions during all storage and transportation tasks. Do not puncture, cut, crush, short circuit, attempt to recharge, or expose the battery to liquids or high temperatures (in excess of 85C per battery supplier SDS). Use only ER14505 replacement batteries supplied by Ecolab. Dispose of depleted battery cells as directed by local regulations after taping the terminals to avoid any accidental short circuiting. All rights reserved. 001/0425 DEVICE OVERVIEW The Ecolab Infrared (IR) Sensor is a modular digitally connected sensing device capable of detecting and alerting to the presence of a wide variety of potential target pests. Whether used as a stand-alone device positioned along Rodent runways or installed inside of the patented Connected Cockroach enclosure, the IR Sensor is an IP67 environmentally sealed design with a replaceable battery that will deliver many years of service without the need for replacement. Working on the principle of Active IR, the device pulses its IR LEDs and detects changes in levels of reflected light arriving back at the central IR Sensor to determine if a target pest has crossed its path. By thoughtfully monitoring baselines and interaction events, we are able to accurately generate activity alerts and deploy our team of elimination specialists at the first sign of an infestation. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND OPERATING PROCEDURE 1. Determine the appropriate wall location to install the unit. It is highly recommended to screw the device to the wall instead of only using the adhesive backing (except for installations onto stainless steel โ€“ see below) to limit false alerts and lost devices. The combination of available food, water, and lik elihood of introductions will help guide installation location selection. Refer to the Cockroach QRG for more information on selecting locations. Critical Installation Location Notes: Ensure adequate clearance for removal using Checkpoint key NOT on/above food prep areas NOT on hot surfaces (wall behind oven and fryers are typically acceptable) NOT in Front of House areas that are readily visible or accessible to guests NOT within 18โ€ of the floor or on mobile equipment 2. Once a location is selected, thoroughly clean and dry the installation surface carefully using a combination of Grease Monkey wipes, a degreaser cleaner, etc. and paper towels. Once the wall is fully dry (use paper towels if needed!) remove the adhesive backing from the Mounting Plate to expose the foam tape and press the device against the wall, holding pressure for a minimum of 20-seconds for the pressure-sensitive adhesive to take hold. This should hold your device in position temporarily until screws are installed. Devices s hould be mounted in a horizontal orientation (with Checkpoint service key access oriented towards the ground) as this orientation will minimize false alerts due to water or debris and allow for easy servicing. See Step 1. 4. Remove the Cover and IR-Sensor from the Mounting Plate using your Checkpoint service key, leaving only the Mounting Plate on the wall. The snap release should only require minimal upward force on the key and the device should hinge out-and-away from the wall as shown below. With practice this can be accomplished one-handed by positioning your thumb on the friction features of the cover while insโ€ฆ

Phi Angle The position of the phi axis positioner, usually between 0ยฐ and 180ยฐ Theta Angle The position of the detector antenna, usually between -165ยฐ and 165ยฐ Antenna Port Input Power (APIP) The absolute power going into the antenna. This is used to calculate Efficiency and Gain. Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) After combining phi and theta polarity measurements, the highest reading seen at any phi and theta angle during the measurement is the Effective Isotropic Radiated Power. Total Radiated Power (TRP) The sum of the power seen at all measuring antennas at all Theta and Phi angles and at both polarities.
