Users Manual

2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make sure the polarity is correct. 3. Close the battery box cover, and turn the power switch ON. 1. Press the connect button on the back of the mouse unit. (The status LED lights red) 3. Double-click the icon of this product. If this product is not recognized as a Bluetooth device, check the following items. Is this product able to communicate? Is the Bluetooth adaptor LED lit/flashing? Is it placed in a suitable location? Are there any obstructions between the product and the computer? Check each of the points above, and click [Search Devices] again. Frequency band 2.4GHz ModulationGFSK Assumed interference range 10m or less Advisability of frequency change Entire bandwidth is being used, and use of the same bandwidth as the “in-plant wireless station” or “specified low power wireless station” is unavoidable Follow the instructions below to prevent this product from interfering with the equipment or wireless stations listed above: 1. Make sure there are no in-plant wireless stations or specified low power wireless stations for mobile object identification operating in the vicinity before using this product. 2. Should this product cause radio wave interference with an in-plant wireless station for mobile object identification, immediately change the location where this product is used, or stop radio wave emission to avoid radio wave interference. 3. Please contact our Support Center for any other problems such as radio wave interference with a specified low power wireless station for mobile object identification caused by this product. The procedure below assumes the use of the iBuffalo BSHSBD04 Bluetooth adaptor. If you are using a different Bluetooth device, consult the manual of that device. The procedure below assumes the use of the specialized driver for the iBuffalo BSHSBD04 Bluetooth adaptor, downloaded from the iBuffalo website. For Bluetooth ver2.0 or earlier, you may be requested a PIN code (pass key). In this case, enter “0000”. Sleep Mode Sleep Mode This product enters sleep mode after approximately 8 minutes. It recovers from sleep mode when moved. Computer Setting ProceduresComputer Setting Procedures This section explains the setting procedure for use with a PS3®. Setting Procedure for PS3®Setting Procedure for PS3® (1) In PS3 menu → [Settings] → [Accessory Settings], press the button. Status LED IndicatorStatus LED Indicator (5) This product is displayed in the [Bluetooth] screen. Quit the [Bluetooth] screen. (2) In [Manage Bluetooth devices], press the button. (5) [Scanning] is displayed for a while. (7) After [Please wait] is displayed, [Pairing complete] is displayed. (6) When the scan is completed, [Buffalo Bluetooth Optical Mouse] is displayed. With [Buffalo Bluetooth Optical Mouse] selected (flashing), press the button. (3) Select [Yes], and press the button. (4) Press the connect button on the back of the mouse unit (the status LED lights red), and then press the button in [Start Scanning]. (8) When the connection is completed normally, a blue mark lights on the left side of [Buffalo Bluetooth Optical Mouse]. This completes the pairing operation. Click the button to exit. (1) Press the button to display the options menu. If the mouse does not operate If the blue mark on the left side of the product name in the PS3® [Manage Bluetooth devices] screen is not lit, the device (mouse) is only registered, but not connected. Configure the connection settings using the procedure below. (4) When the connection is completed normally, a blue mark lights on the left side of [Buffalo Bluetooth Optical Mouse]. This completes the pairing operation. Click the button to exit. (2) Select [Connect] in the options menu, and press the button. (3) [Bluetooth device can connect when operated] is displayed. Click the mouse and press the button. 4. When the following window is displayed, click [Connect]. 5. Check that the [Status] is [Connected], and click [×] to close the window. 6. When this product is connected, the Bluetooth icon in the task tray changes from white to green . 2. Select [Start] – [All Programs] – [Bluetooth] – [My Bluetooth], and the window below is displayed. Click [Search Devices] at the top of the screen to search for this product. ●Instruction manual (this document) 1 ●AAA alkaline batteries 2 For operation check 1. Open the battery box cover on the underside of the mouse unit. Check the Package ContentsCheck the Package Contents How to Use this ProductHow to Use this Product Before using this product, check the package contents, names of parts and supported operating systems, and product specifications on the packaging. If anything is missing from the packaging, contact your vendor. A Bluetooth adaptor (dongle) is not included in this package. Use the Bluetooth function equipped as standard in your computer, or purchase a Buffalo Bluetooth adaptor (BSHSBD04 series etc). Caution When opening the battery box cover, be careful not to damage your fingernails or injure yourself. Caution The provided batteries are for testing operation of the device only, and may have run down since the device was shipped from the factory. You should therefore prepare new batteries as soon as possible, and replace the provided batteries with the new ones. Precautions with Regards to Radio Waves Do not use this product in the following places: Near a microwave oven where magnetic field, static electricity or radio disturbance occurs.
