1) How does this device operate? Plug into IPod & similar device and powered from Car Cigarette lighter.. 2) Provide information on the device and its antenna. The transmitter’s antenna is same cable as Power line from Car Cigarette, this is permanently attached antenna and meets the requirements of the section. 3) How is it installed? The EUT will direct plug into IPod unique connector. And power by 12Vdc Car Power. 4) What test procedure was used? Operating condition is according to ANSI C63.4-2003 5) If tested in a car, how was it configured/tested? N/A 6) Was the tuni ng range properly verified? The test lab should indicate in the report that the tuning controls were manually adjusted to verify maximum tuning range. EUT was adjusted to work at the selected channels: 88.1 MHz, 98.1 MHz, and 107.9 MHz. The EUT will not allow operation below 88.1 MHz and will not allow operation above 107.9 MHz. 7) Was the bandwidth properly tested with maximum audio input? Emissions from the intentional radiator shall be confined within a band 200 kHz wide centered on the operation frequency. The 200 kHz band shall lie wholly within the frequency range of 88 – 108 MHz. Circuit Description This product has a MCU to control below module : 1． FM transmitter unit: it include a main chip and some periphery circuit. This unit will modulate the audio signal and transmitter out 2． Button input unit：the user press these buttons to power on/off this product, to set FM frequency. And a quick switch button to switch frequency. 3． Audio input unit : it include a audio signal detecting circuit and a 3.5mm audio in jack, if there are no signal input, FM transmitting will be off within one minute. This product’s power comes from car cigaretter, it support 12VDC input, still have a 1A fuse in the power circuit, and have a DC/DC step down circuit to offer 5V DC. 5V DC is used to charge iPod or other product. Then use a LDO to offer 3.5VDC to power this product.
