PROg/SET - Preset radio stations. - Set the clock. - Play/pause in Bluetooth mode. POWER Turn the radio on/off. Basic Operation Listen to Your Radio 1. Flip up the antenna and fully extend it. 2. ress POWER to turn on the radio. 3. Press AM/FM to select a band. 4. Rotate Tuning +/– to tune to a specific station, or press and hold uP/PRESET or DOWn to scan radio stations. 5. Press POWER to turn off the radio. Store Preset Stations You can store 10 FM and 10 AM stations. 1. Press AM/FM to select a band. 2. Tune to your desired station. 3. Press PROg/SET. PRESET flashes on the display. 4. Press uP/PRESET or DOWn to store a preset in locations 0 to 9. Press PROg/SET to confirm. 5. Repeat steps 2-4 to store more stations. To listen to a preset station, turn on the radio, then press uP/PRESET or DOWn to find the preset location. Listen to an External Audio Source Bluetooth 1. Turn on the radio and adjust volume. 2. Press /AuX once to use the Bluetooth function. The icon flashes as the radio searches for a Bluetooth- enabled device. SLEEP Timer function to switch the radio to standby. /AuX Activate Bluetooth or AUX function. OR AA AA AA n note: • Always connect the AC adapter to the radio first, and unplug it from the outlet before unplugging it from the radio. • Replace the batteries when the sound becomes weak or distorted. Finish within 15 seconds to retain the clock and radio preset settings. Battery notes: • Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them. • Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. • Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities. • If you do not plan to use the radio for a long time, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts. 3. Activate your device’s Bluetooth function (refer to your device’s user’s guide). 4. When RS 1201479 appears in the Bluetooth devices list, pair it to your device. 5. You can control your radio through your device or with the radio’s buttons: PROg/SET Play/pause uP/PRESET Skip to next track DOWn Skip to previous track n note: • After you turn on the radio, it attempts to resume Bluetooth connection with the formerly connected device. If the connection fails again, the radio will start searching for other Bluetooth devices. • Bluetooth connection breaks when the connected device moves too far away from the radio. You need to reestablish the connection. • If your device uses Android 2.0 and below, enter the password 0000 for Bluetooth connection. AUX 1. Turn on the radio and adjust volume. 2. Press /AuX twice to use the AUX function. AuX appears on the display. 3. Use an audio cable (not supplied) to connect your audio device to AuX in of the radio. 4. Technical Description The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is an AM/FM Bluetooth Radio. The Bluetooth portion is operating between 2402MHz and 2480MHz (79 channels with 1MHz channel spacing). The EUT is powered by 4.5VDC (3X1.5V “AA” batteries or 120VAC. When the EUT is switched ON in Bluetooth mode, the display with show “BT” and flashing. The corresponding device would be searched and connected the EUT before playing audio. After pairing, the “BT” will stay lit. 2.4GHz Bluetooth Module: Antenna Type: Integral, Internal (PCB Trace) Frequency Range: 2402MHz - 2480MHz, 1MHz channel spacing, 79 channels Nominal field strength is 102.5dB μV/m @ 3m Production Tolerance of field strength is +2 / - 4dB Antenna gain is 0dBi The functions of main ICs are mentioned below. 1. BlueTooth module IN2020 (IC3): 1) CW6633M acts as the 2.4GHz radio core of Bluetooth module 2) The 26MHz crystal provides system clock for CW6633M. 2. AM/FM Radio Portion: 1) IC1 (BK1086/88E) acts as digital AM/FM radio demodulator. 2) Z3 (32.768kHz) provides clock for the IC1. 3. Bluetooth Audio Usage Model The CW6633M is designed to provide direct interface to provide audio processor with audio bitstream transported via Bluetooth as show in figure 1. The CW6633M has very flexible PCM and UART interface enabling it to transparently connect with existing circuits. In addition, the low-cost crystal and external LPO (Low Power Oscillator) inputs allows to further minimizing the size, power and cost of the integration. The EUT has an AUX IN jack to connect corresponding device to play audio.
